If you or anyone you know with some property is looking for an energetic and adorable Kelpie to join your family, take a look at Ralph. I’m assisting his family to find a new home for him that will better suit his nature and needs. Ralph’s family adore him and have been working on his training since they adopted him as a puppy but he needs a home that can better meet his needs.
If you are interested in Ralph, please message me and I’ll put you in touch with the family. Here is what they say about Ralph:
We are still looking for a new home for Ralphy. He is a kelpie x, 11 months old and he's always ready for something to do and to have some fun. He is Kelpie dominant in looks and probably personality.
He's got strong herding instincts, he's a very intelligent pup and a happy boy.
Ralph hasn't had the best start to life, we got him at only 5 weeks old and he wasn't the healthiest of pups. We've nursed him back to health but we feel that he'd be better off rural where he has space, a bit more freedom and possibly even a job to do.
Ideally, his perfect home would be rural with older kids or no kids, an older brother/sister or two and preferably a family that can be around majority of the time.
Ralph is a very intelligent dog, he's picked up his training extremely quickly and it's become second nature to do what he's meant to without thinking about it. He is trained with verbal commands and also hand signals for some things. He's still learning and he is still pushing a boundary here and there 😅
He gets on well with cats and dogs, male and female. He hasn't spent much time with males though, he's spent alot of time with female dogs and no problems. He is also fairly neutral with dogs on walks.
He will need continued training so please only reach out if you are willing to keep up his training. He has ALOT of energy. We're currently trying to teach him to switch off and relax, it's proving a tad difficult.
We've been working with a dog trainer and we're able to pass on her details if anyone is genuinely interested in meeting Ralph and has any questions to ask or information they would like.
The decision to rehome Ralph hasn't been made lightly. He will be very missed here. We would love for him to go to a home that doesn't mind providing us with an occasional update, we'd love to see how he's going and what he's getting up to.
We won't be letting him go to just anyone, we'd like to do a meet and greet with anyone interested and your dogs if you have one or two already. Just to make sure they get along.
If you'd like to meet Ralph then please feel free to message with any questions, I'm more than happy to answer them and have a chat. He will come with everything we have for him...food, crate, kennel, blankets, toys. Basically all the needed doggy things. Located SOR Perth
