☘️ Lady knows what she’s talking about!🐴
Yeah, okay, so I’m a cat person, alright. What are you going to do about it?!
This incredible business of mine has been running for eight years now and I figure it is about time to let you all know a little bit more about me, about who I am, why this work matters to me and why I am so passionate about being better for our horses.
One of the best lessons that I keep learning and seeing reinforced is that it all, always, comes back to us and our own horse. On any given day, we have a ridiculous amount of advice and information thrown at us as horse owners. Both online and in real life. The blanket statements are constant, and they are exhausting.
I strongly believe that if we keep coming back to our own horse, to our own relationship and what we know to be true about our own animals, we can sift through the noise and do what is best.
Of course we receive advice from friends and mentors. Where would we be without that?! But if the person loudly telling you exactly what you ‘need’ to be doing to make your horse “better,” doesn’t fall in to one of those two categories, we could probably just let their advice pass us by. Or at least sample it with a fair dollop of critical thinking.
When we educate ourselves deeply about our own horses, we don’t need to be the expert of everything. We just need to be the expert of our one, wild, precious horse (or many, as the case may be 😉).
