Absolutely loving the trees coming back to life, it’s alway the ashes in the back run that come in first.

‘Tilly’ - 8wk Cavoodle

This little one had only been home a few hours when I went around to do a puppy consult.

Love it when owners get straight onto things, especially if they know they’re getting a pup and know when they are bringingthem home.

I usually love to get started with families and their new pups ASAP, as the aim is to help set things up and give loads of essential fundamental information to set pup up for success.

Little Tilly settled well in crate and took a big nap, she needed it, toileted well and got to interact and meet her big sister, 3yo Cavoodle. Tilly had a fair bit of s***k about her, which is always lovely to see.

Will see them again soon for their 1-1 training session.

🐾 PUPPY PRIVATE TRAINING SESSION 🐾

‘Sunny’ - 9 week Golden Retriever

This little fella was super quick at learning things in his first practical training session on Saturday.

The owners learned about verbal markers, how to use them and when. Sunny quickly did lots of sits and drops too! Clever boy.

Recall was started and owners shown some various ways to have some fun and teach them to Sunny. Although by this stage he was starting to get full and run out of steam 😛.

We took a quick look at his play drive, and he was quick to catch and start tugging on the flirt pole. So transferred to a little tug and he did well, again though, he was almost done and so we will look more at that next session.

To finish off we let him have a quick little run about one of my large enclosures.

He was one tuckered out boy when he finished.

When you’re not feeling too great - this is a pretty good way to rest. Hamish and training video.

‘Hugo’ - 15 week Cavoodle

It was such a pleasure to see Hugo’s owner again. We have worked together before with her other dogs. Always lovely to have clients come back when they get a new pup. Feel privileged that they return 👍🏻.

Little Hugo showed that he was quite shy and hesitant in the big world outside of his home. Luckily, he had a nice drive for food! He quickly learned sit and drop. Also talked to owner about implementing ‘wait’ command at home and using a release word so he knows when he’s free to move. Also talked about getting Hugo out more to see the world he lives in, as he’s super confident at home hanging of his brother’s ears 🤪 so it was a surprise to his owner to see him hesitant when he arrived.

I wish them well and might see them again for some further training.
