🏆 Erin Miss Metallic — Belyando Maiden B winner! 🏆

Thanks again to the Belyando Campdraft Committee, the Judge - Josh Scott, the Cattle Donors and the wonderful Sponsor Grant Beatty & Victoria Beatty!!

Affectionately known as “Molly” or “Moo”, this lovely mare is a new addition to the Wilmor Downs team 🥰

We purchased her from Bec and Jeff Eddie in June, drawn to her Metallic Cat × Dual Rey (Erin Missy Rey) breeding, with plans to flush her to Willinga Snowy. She’s only had a handful of starts with us, so bringing home a Maiden win with Mick has made it extra special!

Thank you, Bec Eddie and Jeff, for another beautiful mare. We’re very excited about Molly’s future, both in the campdraft arena and as a broodmare!

Congratulations on a very successful weekend, Mick — the Open with Shining Rey and the Maiden with Erin Miss Metallic! 🏆🏆

🏆 Mick & Shining Rey — Belyando Open winners! 🏆

So proud of Mick and our beautiful mare Shining Rey, affectionately known as “8”, winning the Capricorn Bulk Haulage & Verax Open at Belyando with a score of 265!

A huge thank-you to the committee, sponsors, cattle donors, Jack and Kate Mansell, and judge Stevie Steve Comiskey — we’ve worked out the only way to beat him is to have him judge! 😂👏

Congratulations to the committee for running such a great event with your fearless leader and secretary out of action. Hope you’re up and at ’em again soon, Nikki Marshall! 🥰

This open win means a lot because 8 is such a special part of our family. Thank you to Bec Eddie and Jeff for selling her to us a few years ago. She started as Mick’s horse, becoming a Novice mare within her first few starts, and has collected plenty of seconds in Novice and Open drafts — including behind Stevie and One Knight Stan in this same event!

After Doll sadly lost her much-loved Purrlikeakitten, “Bette”, Mick generously handed over 8’s reins. She could never replace Bette, but she brought so much joy back into the saddle. Doll and 8 have since shared plenty of fun and Ladies placings, including winning the 50 Year Anniversary Ladies draft at Clarke Creek. ❤️

8 has the most beautiful nature, but as Jeff says, “she has balls when she needs to use them!” 😂

We’re also lucky enough to have Willinga Snowy embryos out of her, and we’re hoping for a few more this year. Plenty to look forward to from this lovely mare!

We love you, Shining Rey. Thank you for the rides, the memories and the joy you bring us. 🥰

🩵 FIRST WILMOR DOWNS FOAL FOR THE SEASON! 🩵

A very exciting start to the morning at Wilmor Downs with the arrival of our first embryo transfer foal for the season! 🐴✨

A beautiful big roan c**t, out of Moulin Rougè and by Willinga Snowy. 😍

There’s always something extra special about seeing an embryo foal arrive safely after all the work that goes on behind the scenes — and we couldn't have asked for a better way to kick off the season.

Receipent Mum and bub are both doing wonderfully, and we’re absolutely thrilled with this big fellow. ❤️

Welcome to the world, little man! 🩵

What a fantastic weekend for the Wilmor Downs crew at Clarke Creek Campdraft! 🤎🐴

A successful weekend, plenty of fun, and a brilliant campdraft all round. The facilities were fantastic and the arena surface was absolutely spot on. A huge congratulations to the Clarke Creek Campdraft Committee — you guys never disappoint!

🏆 Mick
took out the Lindsay & Jean Hill Memorial Futurity aboard Unstoppable Today (Fair Lady Flash x Don’t Stop Believin) after an exciting run-off with Sam Phelps.

A very special win and we couldn’t be happier with this young horse. 💫

👏 Lesh Allen placed 6th in the Futurity aboard her special gelding Full Boon. Congratulations Lesh — you’re having a fantastic run with your futurity pony and it’s great to see! 🤎

🏅Lenore was honoured to receive the Horsemanship Award in the Errol Drake Memorial Novice Draft, winning a beautiful handcrafted leather bridle generously donated by Apis Creek Brahmans.

This draft is particularly close to Lenore’s heart, as Errol was a close family friend, making the award all the more special. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to Tim & Lynette Olive and everyone involved in keeping Errol’s memory alive through this wonderful draft.

Thank you again to the Clarke Creek Campdraft Committee, your cattle donors, sponsors, judges and volunteers for putting on such a great weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed! 🐴🤎
