Thank you so much, I have truly been humbled by your kind words and support during this difficult time 😊

Many have asked who I would recommend. A lot of my fellow groomers are at capacity as I was, however Hannah from Salty Paws is currently returning back to grooming after having a short break to have a baby and is in the process of building a clientele. Hannah is an experienced groomer and veterinary nurse and can also offer one on one training if you would like to learn how to groom your own fur babies.

Hi everyone
It is with a heavy heart I must advise you Small Paws Hairdressing will be ceasing to operate from Thursday 18 November 2021 due to a rare medical condition I have been struggling with for 3 years.

The rare condition I have is Mal de Debarquement Syndrome, or more commonly known as MdDS, it is a neurological disorder. To date, there is no long term effective treatment for MdDS. Symptoms may or may not go away with time.

During the past year I have found the medication effectiveness has reduced. Completing routine grooms was becoming more difficult due to my consistent internal struggle (rocking/swaying).

I have now conceded to this condition which I have been fighting. I sincerely apologize for the timing in my decision and did hope to finish the year out, however I know it is the right time to prioritize my health and well-being.

I wanted to be truly honest and thought everyone should know the reason because I am sure there are so many people like myself with an invisible rare condition.

From the bottom of my heart I want to thank each and everyone of you for supporting my small business, being loyal and trusting me to pamper your fury family member(s). I am truly going to miss my fury friends and you all so much and it breaks my heart to have to say goodbye. I will deeply and passionately miss being a dog groomer, and the abundance of love I receive from all your fur babies.

What an awesome crew I had in the salon today. Lots of tongues and wagging tails. I am sure they all enjoyed their one on one pampering session. I certainly enjoyed my time with each and every one 🤗

☀️ Happy Thursday ☀️
Our weather has definitely warmed up…my visiting friends and I have stayed cool in the air conditioned salon 🥶 All are looking fresh and are summer ready 🌞
Molly and Gus are so cute 🥰 they dropped in for a nail trim whilst their siblings Gizmo and Charlie stayed for some extra pampering. It was lovely seeing all my fury friends ❤️ 🐶 ✂️

I am finishing the week with seven gorgeous fury family members 🐶 All have been champions ♥️ Today was Meila’s last Groom in the salon before relocating to Cairns. Meila has been a client since 2018 and will be greatly missed 😢🤗😘
