🌿🐶 **Are essential oils safe for dogs?**
Not always!
While some oils may be tolerated in very small, appropriately diluted amounts, others can be toxic to dogs including tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint, clove, cinnamon and wintergreen.
Essential oils can also pose a risk when diffused, as dogs may inhale the vapour or have tiny droplets settle on their coat and later lick them off.
⚠️ **Never assume an essential oil is safe just because it’s natural.**
If you’re considering using essential oils around your pet, check with your vet first.
🐾 If your pet has accidentally ingested an essential oil, contact your vet or an animal poison service promptly.
