Our Small Group Cattle Training Sessions are all about giving you and your horse quality time on cattle in a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you’re building confidence, developing your cattle skills or looking to fine-tune your horse, come along and enjoy a great training session with like-minded riders.

A huge shout out to Toni and the team at Esk Campdraft Association Inc. for once again hosting another fantastic Youth Campdraft Clinic.

It was an absolute pleasure to be invited back to instruct on the mechanical cow over the weekend. This clinic is one of the best-run educational weekends around, providing young riders with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of campdrafting in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.

To all of the young riders—well done! Your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, positive attitudes and respect for your horses made the weekend incredibly rewarding. It was great to see so many of you stepping outside your comfort zones, asking questions and putting your new skills into practice. The future of our sport is certainly in good hands.

A big thank you also to my fellow instructors. It's always a pleasure working alongside like-minded horsemen and horsewomen who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping the next generation of riders grow.

Finally, thank you to the many volunteers, parents and supporters who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Clinics like these simply wouldn't happen without your time, dedication and commitment.

Thank you again for the opportunity. We look forward to being involved again in the future.

Another great weekend away with our wonderful clients at the Murgon South Burnett Quarter Horse Cutters Inc Show.

Congratulations to everyone who competed. We're incredibly proud of all our riders and horses, and it was fantastic to see everyone's hard work paying off.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped throughout the weekend by turning back, herd holding and volunteering in the arena. Without the support of members, these events simply couldn't happen.

A special thank you to Rick—my rock, my mentor and my biggest supporter. Thank you for always keeping things simple, telling me what I need to hear (not always what I want to hear!) and for so generously sharing your knowledge. I learn something from you every single day, and I'm incredibly grateful.

These sessions are designed to give every rider plenty of individual coaching in a supportive, relaxed environment.

Whether you're introducing your horse to cattle for the first time or looking to improve your timing, positioning and horsemanship, we'll tailor the session to suit you and your horse.

As JR Cutting & Performance Horses continues to grow, we've recently completed a review of our service pricing to ensure we can continue delivering the high-quality coaching, facilities and training experience that our clients have come to expect.

As a result, updated pricing across all of our services will come into effect from 1 August 2026. Our website will be updated accordingly to reflect the new pricing.

If you've been thinking about booking a clinic, private lesson, small group session or horse training, bookings confirmed before 1 August 2026 will be honoured at our current rates.

We'd like to sincerely thank all of our clients for your continued support. Your trust in us has enabled JR Cutting & Performance Horses to continue growing, improving and investing in both our facilities and the experience we provide.
