Happy Vet Nurse appreciation day to our angels in scrubs.
Our Nurses are not just the ones that answer the phones… they are the ones behind the scenes, there for your pets while they’re in our care 😻

Our nurses are the ones that keep your pets warm, give them their medicine, feed them, and sit by their side while they recover from their procedure. 🐶

Veterinary clinics wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for Nurses.

The next time you see your Vet Nurse, thank them, give them a smile or a great big hug. 🥰

Ooops, we did it again 😱
We have more exciting news for our Morwell clinic!!
Please welcome, Dr. Matilda

Dr. Matilda is a true local 👩‍🌾
Having grown up locally and with many years of experience as a Vet, we can assure you and your pets are in good hands.

If you're ever looking for Matilda, you'll find her with her 2 beautiful working dogs (one not willing to pose for photos 🤣). She spends a lot of time exploring our region's walking trails, or enjoying some peace and quiet in our national parks.

Matilda is full of smiles, but can also be the calm voice for you and your pets during the tough times.
Oh, and did we mention, she loves treating and working with chickens 🐣🐔

So, when you're in the clinic next, make some time to say hello to Matilda 🥰

Go you good thing 💪
Adam has won the 2026 practice manager of the year award, Victoria east GP! 🥇

Adam is a people person, and has been recognised for his dedication to his team, clients and their pets 😻

A bit of a larrikin, and self titled “crazy cat lad”, he has demonstrated an ability to create a safe place for every person and every pet that comes to our clinic. He is always happy, resilient and adaptable, no matter the challenge.

Keep up the good work Adam never stop being you 🫶

Meet Frankie! 🐾

This tiny little Italian Greyhound came in for his vaccination and was quite possibly the cutest little patient we’ve had in our hands! 🥹

Frankie was so teeny, he practically fit in the palm of our hands. 🥰

Safe to say, we were all a little bit obsessed! 💚

Bird flu is making headlines, so Better Homes & Gardens asked Greencross Vets what it means for our pets.

Greencross Vets veterinarian Dr Nina shares practical advice to help pet parents understand the risks and take simple precautions.

“Bird flu can infect all mammals, so dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets can all be infected.”

From avoiding contact with sick or dead wildlife to keeping cats indoors and dogs on a leash around wildlife, a few simple steps can help reduce exposure.

🖤 A majestic visitor who never should have needed a trip to the vet.

This beautiful black swan was found with a fishing hook stuck in its mouth - a painful and completely preventable injury caused by discarded fishing gear.

Removing the hook required a general anaesthetic, along with pain relief to keep this feathered patient comfortable while we treated them. 🦢

A reminder to all anglers: please take your fishing line, hooks and tackle home with you or use a designated disposal bin. The Victorian Fisheries Authority advises that old fishing line should be placed in bins, or if there are no bins available, taken home, cut up and disposed of in general waste. Their Seal the Loop program also provides dedicated bins for unwanted fishing line, hooks, netting and rope. (VFA)

Discarded fishing gear can cause entanglement, injury and even death to wildlife. A few extra seconds to dispose of your gear properly can make a huge difference. 💔

🎣 Fish responsibly. Dispose responsibly. Protect our wildlife. A big thanks for the wildlife careers for bringing this amazing swan in and thanks to our team for helping 🫶🏼

Dr. Rachel, Dr Tracey and Nurse Sam couldn’t resist a photoshoot opportunity when these 5 little ones came in for their 6 week vaccination boosters and microchips.

We hear you! 💚

We know how stressful it can be when your pet suddenly becomes unwell or injured — especially in our regional community, where access to emergency veterinary care can be limited.

That’s why we’re making it easier to get help when you need it.

🏥 Emergency walk-in appointments are now accepted Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm.

No appointment? That’s okay. If you’re worried about your pet and feel they need urgent veterinary attention, come in and speak with our team. Every patient will be triaged on arrival, so we can prioritise those who need us most.

This is about supporting our local community, being there when the unexpected happens, and helping make sure pets have somewhere to turn when they need care. 🐾

Because when your pet needs help, knowing where to go matters.
