Because of this, a veterinarian may recommend a crocodile diet as part of a strict elimination diet or food trial, particularly when investigating suspected food sensitivities or adverse food reactions. The Slow Cooked Crocodile formula is specifically described by Prime100 as a complete and balanced, hypoallergenic single-protein diet for dogs requiring an advanced novel-protein elimination diet or food trial, including dogs with suspected food sensitivities, skin allergies or digestive problems such as IBD.

The Prime100 Crocodile Fresh Roll and Slow Cooked Crocodile diets are VETERINARIAN EXCLUSIVE products. Prime100 itself identifies both products as Veterinarian Exclusive and states that its Crocodile Diet is available exclusively through veterinary clinics.
At Our Vet Mornington, we treat these as STRICTLY VETERINARY-PRESCRIBED DIETS.
They are NOT general retail pet foods and will not be sold over the counter simply because a dog likes crocodile or because an owner would like to try a different protein.
➡️ To purchase Prime100 Crocodile from Our Vet Mornington, your pet must be a patient/client of Our Vet Mornington and the diet must have been prescribed or approved by one of our veterinarians.
This is particularly important when the food is being used as an elimination diet. Introducing other proteins, treats or unsuitable foods during a food trial can interfere with the purpose of the diet and potentially compromise the results. Prime100 also cautions that feeding a novel protein alongside a reactive protein can contribute to cross-reactivity issues.
We completely understand that this may occasionally be inconvenient, but we will not dispense a veterinary-exclusive prescription diet without the appropriate veterinary relationship and approval.
