I have been terribly forgetful when it comes to posting up my puppy class pics and client pics, so I thought I would post of the top photos from January.

Consider that not all emotional behaviours need to be “trained away”.
Sometimes what is needed most is kindness, patience and understanding.
Dogs are sentient beings with individual personalities, life experiences and emotional histories. Some carry early trauma, some have higher drive, some cope less easily with stress and overwhelm. These differences matter.
Expecting dogs to remain quiet, compliant and invisible, ignores who they are and how they experience the world. Behaviour is communication, not misbehaviour.
We should never expect children to suppress every emotional response or lose their voice simply to appear well behaved. Surely dogs deserve the same compassion.
