CHRISTMAS BOOKINGS CLOSING SOON! 🎄

Christmas is creeping up quickly, and our remaining bookings won’t be available for much longer! If you need care for your furbabies over the Christmas period, please book ASAP to avoid disappointment. Dec 30th onward past New Years is now completely booked out. 🐾❤️

A few important reminders for Christmas Care this year:

🎅 Christmas bookings are charged at Public Holiday rates.

🐾 We will be doing ONE visit per home, per day over the Christmas period.
Unlike previous years, we will not be offering the super-early AM and late PM visits. After many years of starting before sunrise and finishing late at night, we’re making sure we can still provide wonderful care for your babies while also having some precious Christmas time with our own little family. ❤️

💰 A 50% non-refundable deposit is required by 1 December to secure your Christmas booking.

💰 The remaining balance must be paid no later than 48 hours before care begins.

Unfortunately, we still have money outstanding from Christmas Care provided two years ago, so we do need to be firm with our payment policy. Christmas is also one of our busiest periods, and when we reserve a space for your family, we often have to turn another family away. Last-minute cancellations can leave a spot that is almost impossible to refill.

The deposit helps ensure bookings are genuine and allows us to organise our Christmas schedule and staffing with confidence.

We absolutely love looking after your beautiful furbabies while you enjoy your Christmas adventures, and we’re so grateful to everyone who continues to trust us with them year after year. 🎄🐶🐱❤️

Please get those bookings in soon — once we’re full, we’re full! 🎅🏼🐾

POWER OUTAGE UPDATE – FURBABY PARENTS

For our Furbaby parents who are currently out of town, a large part of Moranbah is experiencing a power outage at present.

We know many of your furbabies are normally kept comfortable inside with the air-conditioning running, so while our carers are out and about doing their afternoon rounds, we’ll be making some extra checks to ensure your pets and homes are safe, secure and comfortable.

Thankfully, it’s not too hot this afternoon, so everyone should be absolutely fine while the power is out. We’ll make sure your babies have plenty of fresh water, are comfortable and secure, and we’ll check for any issues around the home that may have been caused by the outage.

We’ll also keep an eye on fridges, freezers and other appliances, and let you know if we notice anything that may need your attention.

We know it can be worrying when you’re away and something like this happens at home, so please rest assured that we’re keeping an extra eye on your babies and homes this afternoon and will keep you posted on anything that needs attention.

Enjoy your afternoon
🐾❤️

LET’S HAVE A LITTLE CHAT ABOUT PET CARE IN MORANBAH… 🐾

Because apparently there’s been a little confusion about how competition works. 😏

First things first…

There is enough work in this town for EVERYONE.

Seriously.

We don’t need to battle it out in the Coles car park at dawn to determine who gets custody of Moranbah’s cats and dogs. 😂

Different carers suit different people. Different businesses offer different services. Different prices, availability and personalities.

And that’s actually a GOOD thing.

What I’ve never understood, though, is the idea that making another business look bad somehow makes yours look better.

As the old saying goes - You don’t need to blow out someone else’s candle to make yours shine brighter. ✨

Over the years I’ve been asked MANY times what I think about other pet care providers.

I’ve heard the stories.

Ohhhhh, have I heard the stories. 👀☕️

Some fantastic.

Some… well…

Let’s just say the tea cupboard is FULL. 😬

I’ve been encouraged to share things, warn people, give my opinion and publicly call things out.

And every single time my answer remains the same:

Sorry, No idea 🤷🏻‍♀️

Because someone else’s business is not my business.

Unless I have personally witnessed something, I’m not repeating it as fact. And even when I do know something, I’m certainly not going to use somebody else’s shortcomings as a marketing strategy for Moranbah Pet Care.

Why?

Because I don’t need to.

We’ve been running successfully for SEVEN FULL YEARS. 🐾

Seven years.

🐾 No smear campaigns required.
🐾 No whisper networks.
🐾 No invented stories.
🐾 No running around telling people who they shouldn’t use.
🐾 No trying to make another business look terrible so ours looks fabulous by comparison.

Just turning up, doing the job, loving a ridiculous number of animals and building a reputation one client at a time. ❤️

And I reckon after seven years, our reputation can speak for itself.

If someone asks me about another provider, I’m not going to tell them who they should or shouldn’t use.

🐾 Do your research.
🐾 Ask questions.
🐾 Check credentials.
🐾 Speak to previous clients.
🐾 And choose the person YOU feel comfortable trusting with your babies.

Simple.

Because here’s the thing…

If your business is genuinely good, you shouldn’t need another business to be bad.

And if your sales pitch requires dragging somebody else through the mud…

Wellllll…

People eventually notice who always seems to have muddy hands. 😏

Meanwhile, we’ll just be over here…

🐾 Cleaning litter trays
🐾 Scooping p**p
🐾 Filling bowls
🐾 Giving approximately 47,000 smooches
🐾 Sending far too many pet photos
🐾 Talking to animals like they understand every word
🐾 And minding our own bloody business 😂

To every other wonderful pet carer out there doing the same — keep going but be kind while doing it because I know we are.

There is room for all of us. ❤️

And remember again…

🕯️ You don’t need to blow out someone else’s candle to make yours shine brighter.

After seven years, ours is still burning beautifully.

We’ll keep it that way by fuelling it with good work — not hot air.

30/08/2026

Today, as we’ve been running around visiting so many beautiful furbabies, I found myself watching my little people get stuck in and do their jobs and suddenly realised that they have now been doing this for more than half their lives. 🥹🐾

I watched them help clean, feed, refill waters, play, cuddle and absolutely love on people’s animals — and do it all with a smile.
I couldn’t help but feel incredibly proud. ❤️

One of the things that makes Moranbah Pet Care a little different is that quite often, you’re not just getting one Pet Carer — you’re getting two, three or even four of us at a time! That means while one of us is cleaning litter trays, tidying yards and messes, washing bowls, preparing dinners and topping up water etc etc, someone else is giving your babies all the cuddles, playtime and attention they deserve while you’re away so they get so much extra love.

And sometimes, caring for our clients goes a little beyond caring for their pets…. Have you ever come home and noticed the dishes that were left in the sink have been washed? The floors have been vacuumed or mopped? The kitchen wiped down? Things tidied or put away? We’ve even mowed lawns for new parents and popped a few essentials in the fridge so they could arrive home with their brand-new little addition and have one less thing to worry about. ❤️

Those things aren’t on an invoice. They’re not extras we charge for. They’re simply the little things we do because we care.

After all these years, I’m especially proud that my children have grown up understanding that caring for someone’s pets is more than just putting food in a bowl. It’s about treating their animals — and their home — with the same care and respect we’d hope someone would give ours.

And watching my little people understand that makes this Mumma pretty bloody proud.

Happy Sunday All, enjoy the rest of your evening 🐾❤️

🐾 GENTLE REMINDER – CANCELLATIONS 🐾

Just a little reminder to all of our wonderful clients that cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled care will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

We completely understand that life happens! Plans change, trips get cancelled, people get sick and sometimes things are simply outside of your control. ❤️

We also understand that, in the big scheme of things, cancelling Pet Care might not seem like a particularly big deal — but for our little business, last-minute cancellations can have quite an impact.

🐾 We are generally fully booked most weeks, particularly during busy periods.
🐾 Once your booking is confirmed, that time is specifically reserved for your furbabies.
🐾 We regularly have to decline other clients because those spaces have already been allocated.
🐾 We also roster staff according to our bookings and still have wages and business expenses to cover.

When a booking is cancelled at the last minute, unfortunately it is usually far too late for us to offer that space to someone we previously had to turn away.

We absolutely understand that sometimes cancellations are unavoidable, and there is never any judgement for plans changing. We simply ask that, wherever possible, you please give us as much notice as you can. 🫶🏼

Our cancellation policy isn’t there to be difficult or unreasonable — it simply helps protect our small business, our staff and the time we have specifically put aside for your pets.

Thank you so much for understanding and for continuing to support Moranbah Pet Care. 🐾❤️

Morning Lovely People of the Bah!! 🐾❤️

Just a quick little update as we head towards the busiest time of the year!

🐾 NEW YEAR’S — FULLY BOOKED!
We are now completely booked out over New Year’s (Dec 29th - January) . As always, we’ll then be taking the remainder of January off to enjoy some much-needed family time, rest and recharge before another busy year of loving your beautiful furbabies and focusing on our other business’s and other work ❤️

🐾 CHRISTMAS — ALMOST AT CAPACITY!
Christmas bookings are filling incredibly quickly and we are now almost at capacity.

As we’ve mentioned previously, this year we have made a promise to our children that we will not stretch ourselves beyond our limits over Christmas.

In previous years we’ve squeezed in “just one more” (and then another one… and another one 😂) because we hate saying no! But that has often meant starting before the sun comes up and finishing late at night on Christmas Day.

Our babies are getting older, and we only get so many Christmas mornings with them believing in the magic, waiting for Santa and wanting Mum and Dad right there beside them. (Or at least still at the age they pretend to believe for the fun of it anyway lol)

So this year, our children and our family time are the priority too.

We will still be out and about making sure all of your beautiful fur babies are fed, loved, cuddled and cared for while their families are away — we’re just putting a firm limit on how many bookings we accept.

If you are planning on heading away over Christmas and haven’t booked yet, please get in touch ASAP, because once those final spaces are filled, we genuinely won’t be able to squeeze any extras in.

As always, thank you so much for continuing to trust us with your babies and supporting our little local business. We appreciate you more than you know! 🫶🏼🐾

Ok Little Human Parents who wants to show off their Book Week Creations? I do!! 🙋🏻‍♀️
I think I have shared their costumes every year on here since the beginning of their school lives and this is a sad one as it’s Little Miss last year of Primary School Book Weeks - I truly can’t believe how time has flown by?!
I whinge about having to do it but secretly really truly love it! 🐾❤️

Don’t like what we charge? That’s completely okay — you don’t have to use us.

Moranbah Pet Care has been running for 7 years, and throughout that time we’ve maintained consistent pricing while continuing to have a steady flow of wonderful, loyal clients who value the service we provide.

We know there are others in town who charge less — and that’s okay too! Everyone is absolutely free to choose the pet care provider that best suits their needs and their budget.

What we won’t do is apologise for what we charge.

Our prices reflect our time, fuel, insurance, experience, reliability and, most importantly, the level of care and responsibility that comes with being trusted with someone’s beloved animals and access to their home.

We’re incredibly grateful for the clients who continue to choose us year after year, recommend us to others and trust us with their precious furbabies. ❤️

If someone else is cheaper and suits you better, we genuinely encourage you to use them.

But please don’t expect a small business to justify its prices simply because you’ve found someone willing to do it for less. 🐾🫶🏼

🐾 IMPORTANT SERVICE UPDATE – MORANBAH PET CARE 🐾

As we move toward the end of 2026 and begin planning for 2027, we would like to advise our wonderful clients of some changes to the services we offer.

After a lot of consideration, we have made the decision to gradually discontinue the following services:

🐾 DAY CARE
Day Care services will no longer be Available from September 2026.

🐾 MID-DAY VISITS
Mid-Day Visits will no longer be available from November 2026.
Any existing bookings already confirmed will absolutely still be honoured.

🐾 BOARDING
We will no longer be offering Boarding services from 2027.

Our primary focus moving forward will be on providing our much-loved in-home pet care services, allowing your fur babies to remain happy, comfortable and cared for in their own homes while you are away.

These decisions haven’t been made lightly. As Moranbah Pet Care has grown and changed over the years, we have had to look at which services are sustainable for us while still allowing us to provide the reliable, loving and personalised care that we pride ourselves on.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has trusted us with Day Care, Boarding and Mid-Day Visits over the years. Some of your beautiful babies have been coming to us for such a long time that they truly feel like part of our extended family.

Please note that Moranbah Pet Care is NOT closing. We are simply changing the services we provide and focusing our time and availability on our core pet-care services.

Thank you, as always, for your understanding, loyalty and continued support of our little local business. We truly couldn’t do what we do without you. 🐾❤️
