15 years old, two anaesthetics, a whole lot of dental work… and approximately zero complaints from Jenna. 🥹🦷🤍

Because of her age, we chose to tackle Jenna’s dental disease in stages rather than asking too much of her little body at once. This week she came back for round two, said goodbye to the last of those nasty teeth, and was once again the sweetest, most patient little lady for everything we asked of her.

Her second anaesthetic went beautifully, her dental is officially DONE, and Jenna can now return to her regularly scheduled senior-lady activities — just with a much happier mouth. 🥰

Pet of the Week was an easy call. We love you, Jenna. 🤍

Bird flu on the Sunshine Coast was NOT on our 2026 bingo card 🫠🐦

A wild bird found at Castaways Beach has returned an initial positive result for H5 avian influenza — so while there’s no need to panic, there is reason to be aware.

If you come across a sick or deceased wild bird:
🐦 Don’t touch or handle it
📍 Record the location
📞 Report it to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888

And maybe keep your dogs from investigating mysterious beach birds for the foreseeable future. Respectfully, we know they’ll want to. 🫡
