Purr-Central Welcome to Purr-Central Luxury Cat Hotel, a world of unparalleled comfort & sophistication 🐈

Purr-Central Luxury Cat Hotel provides cat only accommodation with a custom built modern facility situated on a beautiful rural property. Just 15 minutes out of Waurn Ponds and 8 minutes from the Princes Highway, we are ideally situated for Geelong, Surfcoast and Melbourne clients who are wanting a unique, luxury cat hotel with state of the art facilities and around the clock care. All of our staff are nationally accredited in pet first aid, with a qualified vet-nurse on site and local vet on call 24/7. With a whole new approach to cat accommodation, we have designed our spacious facility to the highest standards to ensure the comfort and well-being of your cat. Each indoor suite has it's own outdoor area which is equipped with scratching logs, lounging areas and decor. Our goal is to create the purrfect home away from home and provide you with the peace of mind that, while you are enjoying your holiday, your cat is enjoying theirs!

Why rooms, not cages? 🐾

Because we believe where your cat stays matters.
For 10 years, our rooms have been designed with cats in mind - giving them space to climb, stretch out, watch the world through their window, enjoy fresh air in their own private outdoor area, or simply curl up somewhere comfortable and sleep.

Every cat is different. Some want to explore. Some want cuddles. Some would rather find their favourite spot and quietly watch the world go by.

That’s why we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to boarding.

A room of their own. Space to be themselves. Care that gets to know them. 🤍

Ten years of caring for cats has taught us one very important thing - no two guests are ever quite the same 🐈🐈‍⬛ Getting to know each cat takes time and patience. We learn their routines, their favourite spots, whether they love a cuddle or prefer their own space, and all the little things that help them feel comfortable.

One of the loveliest parts is welcoming our returning guests, who often remember their surroundings and head back to the spots they’ve loved before. 💙

Over the years, we’ve met thousands of personalities, each with their own quirks and preferences. All special in their own way, and all part of the Purr-Central story. 🐾

Has your cat holidayed with us? Tell us their name and their favourite thing about Purr-Central!

Ten years ago, Purr-Central opened its doors with a simple idea: to create a place where cats could enjoy a holiday of their own. 💙

What started as a small dream has grown into a home away from home for many much-loved cats - and a place filled with memories we’ll never forget.

Over the next few months, we’re taking you back through 10 years of Purr-Central, sharing the moments, milestones, cats and people that have helped make us what we are today.

And it all started here… 🐱✨
This is Story 1. Where it all began.

One question we get asked a lot: “Can I bring my cat’s own belongings?” 🐾
Absolutely! 🤍

We love seeing our guests bring along the things they know and love - their favourite beds, blankets, toys, scratching posts and even their climbing towers!
Our Executive, Balcony and Premium rooms are all 2m x 2m, and as Owly and Bibi demonstrate, there’s even room for some seriously impressive climbing towers! 😂

Because sometimes, bringing a little piece of home along makes all the difference. 🐾🤍

The secret’s out…Purr-Central is turning 10. ✨🐾

This November marks 10 years since we first opened our doors, and what an incredible decade it has been.
Ten years of beautiful feline guests, familiar faces, favourite rooms, happy reunions and families trusting us to care for their cats while they’re away. 💙

As we approach this milestone, we’ll be looking back at some of our favourite memories, celebrating the guests and people who have shaped Purr-Central, and sharing a few special surprises along the way.

And while we celebrate where we’ve been, we’re also getting ready to show you what’s next… ✨

For now, here’s to 10 Years of Purrfection.

Look who’s all grown up! 🥹🤍
Bobby first stayed with us as a “little” Maine C**n kitten, and now he’s back at 1 year old - already enormous, absolutely beautiful and with more growing still to do!
He’s playful, mischievous in all the best ways, and particularly enjoys turning his water bowl into a toy. 😂💦
Swipe to the end to see baby Bobby on his first Purr-Central holiday. 🐾

This is a very special commissioned piece.

Recently we said goodbye to our beautiful girl Evie after 15 wonderful years together. We wanted to remember her in a way that would last a lifetime, and so we have this incredible oil painting now proudly keeping us company in reception ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to the amazingly talented Lara Day for capturing not just Evie’s likeness, but her spirit. It is truly something we will treasure forever ❤️
