Continuing our posts about things completely unrelated to pythons:

The egg of some sort of large animal, without doubt not a reptile, next to the egg of a much smaller animal, again without doubt not a reptile.

We did put a clutch of pygmy python eggs into the incubator this week, so we could probably do a post of those next to some of our BHP eggs. But we’d prefer to let our python eggs cook undisturbed.

We’re backing the croc to win this tug of war. Reptile beats cat every time.

Again, not anything to do with pythons.

Vision impaired ✔️

Just wants s*xy times ✔️

If you answered yes to all three, congrats! You're actually a male olive sea snake. 🐍

We released a paper alongside Macquarie University and JCU: James Cook University, Australia that found olive sea snakes just want s*x when they 'attack' reef divers. The snakes think that the divers are female sea snakes.

They do so because they're visually impaired and desperate. 👓

Once they approach a diver, they tongue-flick them to assess them. They then go away after they realise it's not a female they can mate with. 🥀

Florida is about to have a Christmas unlike any other in recent memory, and it may involve iguanas falling from trees.

This relates to lizards (yawn) not pythons (🤗), but it’s still pretty cool to think about.
