She has regular lessons herself with classical dressage instructor, Anita Budgeon, Katrin Kuenstler and lessons with various other jumping instructors. She has a small herd of horses who are all very well cared for, educated, compete and are schooled regularly. They are quiet but responsive and are most importantly - SAFE!!! Lessons are available every day and are booked in on a weekly or fortnightly basis. There is no joining fee and lessons are paid for each week. So no term fee (we do have a $25 cancellation without 48 hours notice)

💔 RIP DOLLY PARTON, 1946–2026

There are plenty of reasons for horse lovers to have had a soft spot for Dolly Parton.

Growing up poor in East Tennessee, Dolly wanted a pony more than almost anything.

She once told the wonderful story of an uncle convincing her that she could actually grow her own pony by planting “pony seeds”.

So, as only a hopeful little girl could, she buried horse manure in the ground, watered it carefully... and waited.

No pony ever appeared. But the love of horses never quite left her.

And perhaps one of the best descriptions Dolly ever gave of herself also came straight from the horse world:

“I may look like a show pony, but I’m a workhorse.”

Pony dreams, workhorse spirit and a heart every bit as big as her personality.

Rest in peace, Dolly. ❤️🐴

There is a saying in the equestrian world: No hoof, no horse.

And behind every healthy, happy horse is someone who understands that a hoof is so much more than something to trim and shoe. It is the foundation of everything they do - every step, every stride, every journey.

I am incredibly lucky to have a farrier who doesn’t just care for my horses’ feet. He cares about their journeys.

He is an absolute expert at his craft. He notices the little things, understands each horse as an individual, and nurtures their feet with patience, knowledge and an extraordinary level of care. My horses genuinely couldn’t be the happy, comfortable horses they are without him.

But somewhere along the way, he became so much more than my farrier. He's my confidant, my therapist, my friend.

He has listened to my endless plans, talked me through the trickiest of days and offered life advice when I probably needed it more than hoof advice. He champions my goals, believes in my crazy ideas, celebrates my wins as though they were his own, gently prods me in the right direction and patiently helps me carry the weight of my losses.

We have solved most of the world’s problems standing beside a horse, usually somewhere between discussing my horses well-being and completely losing track of what we were originally talking about.

And that is the thing about the people who become part of my horse journeys. They don’t just work on our horses. They become part of the story.

Every horse has a journey. Every hoof carries them through it. And I am incredibly grateful that mine have someone so talented, invested and genuinely caring helping them take every step.

No hoof. No horse. And no way I could do this without my farrier.

A. "Your soul.. and then some."
B. "Too much"
C. " Infinity"
D. " There's no point keeping count, every cent is totally worth it"

Our past horses aren't just photos on the wall, they're part of the heart and history of Royal Park.

Each one has a story, and every one has left a legacy that continues to shape who we are today.

They are just as cherished as the horses in our paddocks now, and we are forever grateful for everything they taught us, the memories they gave us, and the lives they touched.

Beautiful but cool morning.
