🐎 06 Sept Rally - Father’s Day Edition 🐎

First spring rally and the weather turned on for a beautiful day for our riders! ☀️ We started the rally an hour later in lieu of Father’s Day which was a nice relaxed start for our riders! 

We welcomed new riders and riders from Griffith Pony Club which we absolutely love to see!

Today our riders focused on agility, as our instructors put together a course for our riders and their ponies to ride through, working on our hand-eye coordination. We then finished the rally with some friendly competition! All riders finishing up with a lolly bag! 🍬

All in all an amazing rally!

Thankyou to our instructors and everyone who helped with the equipment!

Our next rally is on the 20th September, where we will be hosting the final Zone Rally!

🐴 HORSE WELFARE STARTS WITH NOTICING

Our horses can’t tell us in words when something is wrong — but they are constantly communicating through their behaviour, movement and body language.

Take a moment before you ride to really look at your horse.

👀 Are they moving comfortably?
🥕 Are they eating and drinking normally?
🦵 Is there any heat, swelling or tenderness?
😌 Are they behaving like their usual self?
🐎 Is their tack comfortable and correctly fitted?
🌡️ Are the weather and conditions suitable for the work you are asking them to do?
Sometimes the best horsemanship decision is to change the plan, reduce the workload or not ride at all.

Good horse welfare isn’t just what happens when something goes wrong — it’s the small checks and decisions we make every single day.

💙 Their welfare always comes first.

🐴 BARELLAN SHOW WOWZA! 🤩🎉

What a fantastic day out for our riders and instructors at the Barellan Show! 🏆🐎

🌟 Ella, Mikayla, Rosie & Zarah hit up the jumping ring, with some of our riders also going on to compete in the open classes. Our riders done an amazing job!

🤠 Instructors Megan & Michael had a crack at team sorting. While they didn’t manage to place, they had an absolute ball and enjoyed a great day out! 🙌

It was also wonderful to see our riders to catch up with their friends from Zone 21 & YAHS! 💛🖤

We also received some fantastic feedback about our riders today from the judges, which we love to hear!
