Housekeeping!
Sorry in advance for the rant and thank you to everyone who continues to do the right thing.
Please take note. While 98% of my valued clients are fabulous, there have been a few lately not doing the right thing. Some of this should go without being said.
Remember you are coming to my home. While I welcome and value you, I need you all to respect that.
When you arrive, please park close to my grooming room, parking next to my house/backyard gate stirs my dogs up unnecessarily. If you arrive early, please wait until your appointment time to come in as early arrivals (unless arranged prior) can be very unsettling to the furbaby I am working on. The same thing applies when collecting your furbaby, too early and it makes it very dangerous to continue grooming considering the sharp scissors etc I use.
Please pick up after your dog. I have poo bags and a pooper scooper both handy and available for use next to my grooming room. Yes, we may live on acreage but I clean up any faeces or vomit due to potential spread of disease/worms etc. I often have vulnerable aged dogs or puppies visit (as well as my own puppies). If it is not able to be picked up, please let me know ASAP so I can hose and disinfect the area.
Please either carry your dog into my grooming room or keep them on a short lead for their own safety. While I haven't seen any now for a couple of years, we DO have snakes out here as well as free range geese.
If your dog has fleas, please treat them with a monthly treatment at least 24 to 48 hours prior to your appointment. Extra charges will apply if your dog presents with fleas.
Please do not just turn up at my home or grooming room to book an appointment. If I am home, I am not working. If I am in my grooming room and partway working with a difficult or anxious dog, unexpected arrivals can be very unsettling for them and takes me extra time to resettle them. Please text me to make an appointment (preferred method) and I will get back to you as soon as I am able. I cannot always answer my phone or respond while I am working.
Payment is due ON THE DAY of your appointment by either cash or bank transfer. If you need account details, please text me and I will send details to you. EFTPOS is no longer available.
Absolutely NEVER try and pat any of the dogs I have in when you arrive to drop off or collect your dog unless it is your own, or I give you express permission. Yes, some of them look really cute and are relaxed and happy with me handling them but I have a lot who will absolutely bite anyone else without warning.
End of the day, I just ask that you show me the same respect and courtesy that you would expect.
