A little trip on the weekend to Mansfield for some barrel racing at NBHA Vic D1 Barrel Racing Club. One of the most supportive and encouraging clubs around!
Turkey, once again, stepped up. Showing how much he enjoys the barrels and that he has been hiding his talents for it by disguising himself as a trotter 😂

Turkey also showed that he is capable of bringing it back a notch to take care of his junior rider Riley, who is increasing in confidence and speed each run she has on him!

What a great weekend! Thank you to all our riders, families, volunteers and everyone who lent a hand. We appreciate the support and effort that goes into making our weekends happen. 🐎🛢️

A special shout-out to our fastest riders:
⭐ Indianna Dunstan on Shadow — fastest on Saturday with 18.575 seconds!
⭐ Remy Simmons on Buster — fastest on Sunday with 18.693 seconds!
🏆 Indianna also takes out the fastest time for the whole weekend!

🐎 NBHA VIC D1 – ROUNDS 6 & 7 🐎

Rounds 6 & 7 will see us wrap up our second event for the 2026 season!

Before we kick off tomorrow, just a few important housekeeping reminders.

🧹 YARD CLEANING
All yards MUST be completely cleared of hay, feed and manure before leaving the grounds.

Please respect the facilities we are fortunate enough to use. A cleaning fee will be charged for any yards not left in an acceptable condition.

📢 COMMUNICATION & CONCERNS
If you have any concerns, questions or issues throughout the event, please come and speak to us directly.

We are a volunteer-run club, and our committee works incredibly hard behind the scenes to provide a great experience for everyone.

We are always open to constructive feedback and willing to address concerns, but we cannot fix something we don’t know about.

What we do ask is that concerns are brought to us directly rather than spreading misinformation or discussing issues without knowing the full facts.

We are working hard to build a positive, supportive and welcoming barrel racing community. Respect, communication and sportsmanship go a long way.

At the end of the day, we’re all here for the same reason — our love of horses, barrel racing and the people who make this sport what it is! ❤️
