Dogs are trying their best and sometimes i think we need to have more patience and understanding of our dogs.
Once you start to see behaviour as a way of communication rather than something that’s “bad” or “annoying”, your relationship will change for the better.
Sometimes a coach is all you need to help direct you 🪐🪐🌙💫🫶🏼

For everyday dog owners, it can be hard to know what to work on, when to progress, or why a behaviour isn’t changing.

With the right guidance, the path forward becomes a lot clearer. You understand what your dog needs, what to focus on first, and how to actually build the behaviour you’re looking for.

Sometimes it’s not about doing more.
It’s about knowing what to do next. 🐾

We actually can communicate with our dogs but only if we give them a clear system they can understand.

When your dog understands what your words mean, what behaviours work, and what happens next, training starts to make a lot more sense to them.

It’s about learning to speak the same language. Once that communication becomes clearer, you start to see more engagement, better understanding and much more consistent progress. 👊🏽👊🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🐾

Another little group of Puppy School graduates 🎓🐶🤍

So proud of these puppies and their owners for everything they’ve worked on over the past five weeks.

From building engagement and communication, to settling, handling, confidence and learning how to work around other puppies they’ve all come such a long way.

Congratulations little grads 🥹🎓

Our next Puppy School intake is now open 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Before you expect your dog to settle at a cafe, walk loose on a lead, come when called, you MUST have repetitions and practise before you need the behaviour 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Just like when we train, we practise, get good reps in, then can feel confident when it means business 🐾🐶

Congratulations to Saturday Canine Classes 🥳🥳🥳🥳
So proud of this group and everything they have achieved over the last 5 weeks!

We have worked on engagement, loose lead walking, recall, place, settling and building better communication between dog and owner and it has been so good watching everything start to come together each week.

Congratulations to all of our Level 1 graduates!! You guys absolutely smashed it 👏🏼🐾

Now to keep building on everything you’ve learnt!

Inside Putchy’s reactivity session 🐾

Reactivity isn’t a quick fix, and dogs can react for many different reasons.

For Putchy, we’re working on helping him notice dogs without immediately reacting, lower his excitement levels, and learn that he has other choices available.

This session was about creating space, rewarding better decisions, and building clearer communication so Putchy can start to feel more confident around his triggers. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Looking forward to continue his training journey!

Dog training is about setting your dog up with the skills they need for everyday life not only stepping in once a problem starts affecting you.

Our dogs need guidance, but they also need clear, practical skills that help them understand what’s expected of them, cope with different situations and move through life with less frustration.

Training creates clarity, builds confidence and gives your dog behaviours they can fall back on when life changes!!!!

Sometimes the most valuable training is the training you’ve already done before you realise how much you need it. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Resource guarding can be a very natural dog behaviour.

If one dog has something valuable, like food, a chew, or a high value treat, it is normal for them to want to keep it.

That does not mean we ignore it, and it does not mean we let dogs “sort it out”.

It means we manage it.

In multi dog homes, feeding separately and avoiding high value items being left between dogs can prevent conflict before it happens.

A big part of training is setting dogs up for success and reducing pressure.

Good management prevents problems from growing.🐶🐶👏🏽
