UPDATE ON OUR DARLING MAN, HARVEY 💔

Harvey has shown slight improvement while in Emergency Care at Lort Smith, but he urgently needs to see a neurologist.

Tomorrow, Harvey will be transferred to VRH in Dandenong and admitted through emergency. This is currently the best option for him to be seen by the neurology team sooner, as the next outpatient appointment is still several weeks away.

At this stage, we still don’t know what is causing Harvey’s neurological episodes. The neurologists will determine whether he needs further diagnostics such as a spinal tap, MRI, or other testing.

This is the best chance we have of finding answers for our beautiful boy, but the costs are already extremely high and continuing to rise.

Harvey has completely won the hearts of the staff at Lort Smith, and he deserves every possible chance to recover.

✨ Meet Amaya ✨

Once a heavily pregnant stray searching for safety, Amaya has done the hard work of raising her babies and now it’s finally her turn to be spoiled. 🩷

This stunning girl is as gentle as she is beautiful. She loves the simple things in life: sunny spots, soft blankets, cozy scratchers, and the occasional zoomies with her feline friends. ☀️🐾

Amaya has a calm, sweet nature and would fit beautifully into many homes. She’s lived happily with respectful dogs, cats, and children, making her an easy going companion who just wants a peaceful place to call her own.

After spending so much of her life looking after everyone else, Amaya is ready for a family who will look after her. 💕

Sadly, Harvey is back in Emergency care 💔

Harvey had been improving since he was discharged a couple of weeks ago, albeit slowly

But then, out of the blue, Harvey was no longer able to ambulate.

We really do not know what is going on with this precious boy, but after being on treatment for (suspected) Toxoplasmosis, this diagnosis has now been ruled out

The vets are now suggesting that it is a neurological issue, and are recommending a spinal tap.

We are very concerned about Harvey & we are very saddened that potentially the spinal tap should have been performed back when he first became unwell... I am not blaming anyone, and I do believe that even with further tests/procedures, the outcome is sadly not going to be a positive one

Harvey is currently receiving supportive care, and he is eating well. If that changes at any time before Monday, which is when we can (hopefully) have Harvey seen by a Neurologist with another clinic (as they do not work on weekends), he will be given his wings

Morris' Happily Ever After 💙

From an injured street boy (2024), to escaping his foster home on day two, to miraculously being handed in to the local pound, 13 months later (2025)... To now!

After being in foster care with his wonderful foster carer, Minna, for 7 months - MORRIS HAS FOUND HIS BEST EVER FOREVER HOME!

Morris, or as his foster carer affectionately referred to him as 'Lord Morris Smoochington' has finally landed on all four paws. in the right way (not when he chose to jump from a balcony and disappear for 13 months!)

Morris is absolutely adored by his new parents, Aimee & Ashley, and he was sent to his forever home with the wonderful certificates that Minna sends with all of her fosters...

WE NEARLY LOST HIM 😿

Our little man, now named Jumanji, who was found completely alone in a backyard a couple of weeks ago at only 3 weeks of age, suddenly became extremely lethargic a few days ago

Jumanji was taken to a local vet, where antibiotics were started, but with a temperature of 39.8°C, refusing food, and barely responsive, the decision was made to rush him to an Emergency Vet clinic.

While hospitalised, his temperature would come down slightly… only to spike again. At one point, his tiny body reached a terrifying 40.6°C 💔

For two nights, Jumanji received supportive emergency care while everyone waited and hoped. (Dreading 'That' call)

The reality with kittens this young is that when they become sick, they can decline incredibly fast. Their immune systems are not fully developed, and even with hospitalisation, sometimes they still don’t make it.

But our teeny little fighter wasn’t giving up without a fight 🐾

We are so incredibly relieved to say that Jumanji is now back to his cheeky, loving self 💛

Unfortunately, his emergency vet costs totalled $2,300.

As a non-profit rescue run entirely by volunteers, with no government funding or assistance, we rely solely on donations from our supporters to continue saving lives like Jumanji’s.

Two shy hearts looking for patient humans to love them exactly as they are.

Mango may be tiny, but she has BIG feelings. She’s the cautious little observer of the family, the kitten who watches from a safe distance before slowly deciding you might actually be trustworthy. But once you earn her confidence? That playful, sweet personality starts to shine and it’s honestly magic to watch. Mango isn’t a “pick me up instantly” kitten… she’s the kind of soul you build a bond with, and that makes it so special. 💛

And then there’s Marmalade, gentle, quiet, and learning that the world can finally be safe. After surviving life in a colony of around 40 cats and raising her babies so beautifully, this sweet mama is now discovering what love and security feel like. Her soft nose boops and tentative little greetings feel like the biggest privilege once she trusts you. No drama, no sass, just a shy girl trying her best. 🍊

These girls don’t need perfection. They just need patience, kindness, and someone willing to let them bloom in their own time.

WE ARE DISAPPOINTED 😞

WE ARE HEARTBROKEN 🥺

After 124 shares on our last post, countless comments, and so many inboxes from people saying they would love to adopt this gorgeous pair… absolutely nothing has come from it - NADA!

Sadly, Angelo & Mist are STILL waiting for their forever home.

Last week, both beautiful souls underwent their dental work, ready for their new beginning.

But they still wait.

They still dream of a family to call their own… a warm bed, gentle pats, and a place where they will finally belong.

Angelo & Mist have so much love to give. They have waited so patiently, and it breaks our hearts that they continue to be overlooked.

Their forever family HAS to be out there somewhere, surely?? ❤️
