Tiny dog. BIG birthday. Olly is 12! 🎂🐾

Happy Birthday to this adorable little Papillon, who has officially reached the wonderful age of 12! 🥳

Olly is currently doing rehabilitation for a medial luxating patella in his right hind leg, helping support his strength, mobility and function.
And while he may be one of our smaller patients, there’s certainly nothing small about reaching this milestone! 💙
Today is all about celebrating 12 years of Olly — and we think that deserves some extra birthday treats. 🎁🐾
💬 Help us wish this gorgeous little man a very Happy 12th Birthday! 🎂👇

Kiff’s Considering a Career Change 😂💦🐾

Why do the hydrotherapy when you can supervise instead? 😂

At just 9 months old, gorgeous Bernese Mountain Dog Kiff has apparently decided being the patient isn’t quite his style.

Instead, he thinks he’d make a very good hydrotherapist! 💦🐾

He’s got the observation skills, enthusiasm and adorable face sorted… now he just needs to learn how to operate the treadmill. 😂💙

We might have to add him to the roster!

💬 Would you trust Kiff to run your dog’s hydro session? 😂👇

When your sister has a weekly appointment, you obviously come along for the Dog Yog. 😂🐾

Gorgeous Luna and her brother Oreo have their weekly Dogs In Motion routine pretty well figured out.

Luna is a 3½-year-old French Bulldog who comes in for laser therapy as part of her recovery following spinal surgery.

And Oreo?

He’s there for moral support… and apparently his share of the snacks! 😂

Laser for Luna. A Dog Yog each. Two very happy doggies. 🤎💛

We love seeing these two arrive for their weekly visits!

💬 Does your dog have a sibling who insists on coming along for the adventure (or the treats)? 😂👇

14½ years old and still keeping those legs moving. 🥹🐾

This sweet senior girl is Ruby, a beautiful 14½-year-old English Staffy.

Ruby is living with lumbosacral disease, and hydrotherapy is part of helping her maintain her mobility as she gets older.

At this stage of life, the goals aren't about breaking records.

They're about maintaining strength, supporting mobility and helping our senior dogs continue doing the everyday things that matter to them. 💙

And at 14½, we think Ruby deserves plenty of appreciation for still putting in the work!

💬 How old is your senior dog? We'd love to celebrate them too. 🐾👇

Say hello to Arlo, a gorgeous 5½-year-old Cane Corso x Neapolitan Mastiff who recently came in to see Physio Michelle.

Arlo was here for an assessment of his mobility and function, giving Michelle the opportunity to look at how he moves and how his body is functioning.

And judging by that face, we think Arlo took the whole experience in his stride! 💙

It was lovely having this handsome big boy in the clinic.

💬 Can we get some love for Arlo? 🐾💙

Cruciate rehab complete… but Waffles isn't hanging up his hydro gear just yet! 🐾

This gorgeous Golden Retriever is Waffles, and at just 5 years old, he has already worked his way through recovery following cruciate surgery.

Waffles recovered well and has now moved into a different phase of his journey.

Rather than saying goodbye to hydrotherapy altogether, he comes back once a month for maintenance, helping him maintain his muscle mass and mobility.

From recovery to maintenance — we love seeing our patients progress to this stage. 💙

And with a name like Waffles, how could we not love having him visit? 🧇😂

💬 Give Waffles a 💙 for all that hard work!

Work hard in hydro. Collect cuddles afterwards. Sounds like a pretty good deal to us! 🥰🐾

This adorable 6-year-old Yorkshire Terrier cross certainly earned his post-hydro cuddles with Hydrotherapist Leisa.

He has suspected degenerative myelopathy, and hydrotherapy is being used to help him maintain his strength and mobility for as long as possible.

When managing a progressive condition, the goals can look a little different. Sometimes it’s not about getting back to where a dog was before — it’s about supporting the strength and function they have and helping them keep moving.

And after all that work?

Cuddle time is compulsory. 💙🥹

💬 We think those post-hydro cuddles are very well deserved, don’t you? 🐾

Storytime: mildly interesting.

It was a bit of a Bernese Mountain Dog gathering at Dogs In Motion!

We had 9-month-old Kiff, 1½-year-old Quincy, and birthday girl Basil, who was celebrating her 6th Birthday! 🎂💙

Hydrotherapist Alison attempted a little storytime with the trio, but with three Bernese Mountain Dogs together, there were apparently far too many distractions to concentrate on the plot. 😂

Suddenly, she had three VERY attentive listeners. 👀🦴

Funny how quickly their concentration improves when snacks are involved!

💬 Be honest — would your dog choose storytime 📖 or treat time 🦴?

Kath has officially called it… Kannon is the BEST booper in town! 😂❤️

And really, who are we to argue with that nose?

Kannon is a gorgeous 5½-year-old Australian Shepherd who comes to Dogs In Motion for hydrotherapy as part of the conservative management of a partial cruciate tear.

But apparently his hydro sessions aren't his only talent.

He’s also perfected the art of the BOOP! 👆🐶

Rehab patient by day. Professional nose-booper by… also day. 😂💙

💬 We need a ruling — does Kannon deserve the title of Best Booper in Town? 👇
