Recently, we showed you Sia, our gorgeous 8-year-old Doberman, entertaining Alison with her impressive party tricks while waiting for hydrotherapy.

Today, it's time to show you what happens when she steps into the tank.

Sia has carpal hyperextension in her right front limb and an altered hind limb gait, but watching her focus during hydrotherapy is pretty special.

No party tricks required here—just Sia working hard and absolutely mastering her session. 🌟

Clever outside the tank. Superstar inside it.

Tiny body. Mighty determination. 💙

Meet Caspar, an adorable 4½-year-old Chihuahua cross who underwent surgery for a medial patella luxation in his left hind leg in 2023.

Although surgery was some time ago, Caspar still experiences some lameness in that leg. He's now seeing Vet Physio Elle and doing hydrotherapy to help build strength and support more comfortable movement.

Sometimes recovery and long-term management aren't a straight line. It's about recognising when a dog needs a little extra support and finding ways to keep them moving confidently.

And Caspar is certainly putting those little legs to work! 💪

WARNING: You may feel the sudden urge to shake after watching this. 😂💦

Apparently Saturday at Dogs In Motion became an unofficial SHAKE-OFF, and our patients absolutely understood the assignment.

Today’s competitors:

🐾 Rocky – 5½-year-old Pomeranian cross
🐾 Kannon – 5½-year-old Aussie Shepherd
🐾 Kelsey & Brontë – our Cavalier King Charles sisters
🐾 Bolt – 15½-year-old Samoyed Mix
🐾 Shadow – 13½-year-old German Shepherd
🐾 Archie – 5½-year-old Spoodle

And a special mention has to go to Rocky, whose shake is so enthusiastic that one of his legs can lift right off the ground! 😂

Hydrotherapy is helping Rocky rebuild strength and stability, so hopefully he’ll soon be able to keep all four paws planted—even when giving us his most vigorous shake.

From IVDD recovery to maintenance — that’s a milestone worth celebrating. 💙🎉

And today, Bentley has another reason to celebrate…

Happy 7th Birthday, Bentley! 🎂🐾

This gorgeous Mini Dachshund first came to see us following an episode of IVDD, which was managed conservatively.

With time, patience, and rehabilitation, Bentley has recovered beautifully. She’s now moved onto a maintenance program to help support her strength and mobility going forward.

It’s always special watching a dog progress from needing rehabilitation to coming in simply to help maintain all that hard-earned progress.

And what better day to celebrate how far she’s come than her birthday?

Some dogs have been through more than their fair share… and still approach life with a wagging tail. 💙

Meet Delta, a gorgeous 10½-year-old Labrador who truly deserves her superstar status. 🌟

Over the years, Delta has overcome:

🐾 Luxating patella surgery
🐾 Eye surgery for a detached retina at just 4 years old
🐾 Bilateral TPLO surgeries

That’s a lot for one girl to go through, but Delta continues to show us just how resilient she is.

Watching her doing her thing today, you’d never know how many challenges she’s faced along the way. She’s strong, determined, and still getting on with life in true Labrador style. 💙

Meet Harley, a beautiful 14-year-old English Staffy who recently began experiencing some hind limb lameness.

After assessment by her veterinarian, acupuncture was recommended to help manage her comfort and mobility. Harley now sees Dr Sara for acupuncture, while also following a tailored home exercise program and enjoying regular hydrotherapy sessions.

It’s this combination of therapies that helps her maintain muscle strength, stay comfortable, and keep enjoying life.

Because successful ageing isn’t about doing one thing—it’s about finding the right plan for each individual dog.

And Harley is proving that 14 can still look pretty amazing.

Those first two videos are heartbreaking to watch... 💙🐾

Meet Lola, a gorgeous 5-year-old Miniature Dachshund who was diagnosed with Grade 1 IVDD.

The first clips show a little dog in pain, resting quietly in her crate as she began the long road to recovery. For any Dachshund owner, it’s a sight that’s all too familiar.

For Lola’s family, this has been an especially emotional journey. She is now the third Dachshund they’ve cared for with IVDD. Despite doing everything right—carefully managing exercise, providing a healthy diet, and using quality supplements—sometimes these conditions still happen.

Over the past 8 weeks, Lola has been on strict crate rest while receiving regular cold laser therapy with Michelle and the Dogs In Motion team, under the careful guidance of Dr Ben Kaye at Southpaws.

The difference has been incredible.

After each laser session, Lola became noticeably more comfortable. Fast forward to today, and she’s brighter, happier, and moving so much more comfortably than she was in those first videos.

We’re keeping everything crossed that she’ll soon be ready to begin the next exciting stage of her recovery—hydrotherapy.

It’s moments like these that remind us why patience, consistency, and a dedicated team can make such a difference.

Meet Stella, a gorgeous 5½-year-old Havanese who is recovering from cruciate surgery.

Today’s fashion statement? Laser doggles. 😎

While they might look adorable (and they definitely do!), those stylish doggles have an important job—protecting Stella’s eyes during her laser therapy session while she relaxes and lets the treatment do its work.

We think she pulls off the look better than most humans.

Meet Poppy, a magnificent 4-year-old Great Dane who enjoys regular hydrotherapy to help keep her strong, fit, and in top condition.

Watching closely from the sidelines is her biggest fan—her brother, Dexter.
