FLORAL ROSETTE SALE
Garlands by Alison has been busy making Floral Rosettes using different design methods including ribbon points usually seen of Satin Rosettes but flowers included.
Photos show what is available as SALE items pre-made but orders can be taken for similar designs at Normal Prices.
Sizing – Some are Small similar to sample of Satin rosette in photo (previous one my daughter won) to compare.

Hi Everyone, It’s Alison Kain from Garlands by Alison. I haven’t been on Facebook for a while as sometimes I have trouble loading photos from my phone onto my pages due to storage issues.
Today I have added a post as this weekend garlands I made for a very special event called the National Reined Cow Horse Australia Inc (NRCHAA) National Finals were held in Geurie NSW. Thank you to Brooklyn Coverdale from Coverdale Media (check out her work, these horses are amazing) for allowing me to add the photos from the event to my page. Congratulations to the winners of the event the garlands looked amazing on horses moving. Thank you to Steph Dunnachie for getting the garlands up there for me.
Also over the last month I have made garlands for Yarra Glen Show, Croydon Show and last week I attended Warragul Show as a sponsor and took a few happy snaps and gave out showbags to the children (which go down a treat). Thank you to Natasha Byrne for organising a very well run event.
This time of the year the show and horse season slows down over the winter period in Victoria which brings me to planning for next year. Garlands by Alison have now been making custom quality garlands and rosettes for 14 years now and still continue to create new ideas and designs. If clubs and societies would like to start planning for the new season please send a message or email so we can work together to supply great quality of garlands for the future.

Hi All Melbourne Royal Competitors, Tomorrow is probably one of the biggest days of the show for horse competitors as not only is it Garryowen Day but also Turnout Day and Child’s Hack and Child’s Show Hunter Hack in the afternoon. I usually love coming out to Melbourne and see old friends especially seeing my garland colleague Lynn Milburn Garlands and see what she has created for this year’s Garryowen. We usually get to quickly catch up and compliment each other on our work. Another big shout out to the team of International Animal Health (IAH) for entrusting me to create and design this the Child’s classes garlands on their behalf. I have included another sneaky peek of what’s is on offer for tomorrow’s Hacks. I just want to make some followers of my Garlands by Alison page aware that I am currently adding some extra security to this page. Sometimes it’s exciting seeing so many people interested in garlands and other times a bit daunting when they come from far and wide.

Hi Melbourne Royal Competitors, Today is the day I can finally ”let the cat out of the bag so to speak”. I call today Pony Day and there will be lots of beautiful and cute ponies out on the arena and one of the major sponsors International Animal Health (IAH) will be out on the arena presenting lots of wonderful prizes including garlands to the Champion Child’s Show Hunter Pony on around 10.00 and Champion Child’s Show Pony at 4.40 pm. A big shout out and thank you to the IAH family for again entrusting me to create, design and make these beautiful garlands. They are the most supportive company that come down to Melbourne each year to hand out wonderful products across all sections of the show. I am so proud I am now able to release photos of the garlands on their behalf and look forward to being part of the event even though I am not there in person but looking forward to some lovely photos of the winners of the garlands. Good Morning Everyone, Today is the Stock Horse Section of Melbourne Royal Show and this afternoon my friend and sponsor of the Alistair Irving Champion Working Stock Horse will be competing for this lovely garland made especially by Garlands by Alison for the event. This year I won’t be out there is see results but thought I would add a sneaky peek of the garland. Good Luck to all competitors and many thanks to Michelle Gorton from Oakton Lodge Performance Horses for again entrusting me to create something special. Hi Everyone,
This post is an appreciation post to all my customers, sponsors, friends and family who support my small little home business of supplying garlands to many and varied clubs, associations and sponsors over the last 11 years. I cannot believe how many garlands and rosettes I have made over the years.
As the current Victorian show season winds down over the winter period, it’s perfect timing for Garlands by Alison to start planning and creating designs for next season events. I would like to put together a calendar well ahead of time so I can prepare for next season.
Before I start to tackle next seasons work I would love to receive some positive feedback from friends, sponsors and people who have won one of my garlands as I see this helps with my planning and creating new ideas.
I would especially like to acknowledge some of my valued sponsors, Shannon Lawlor from International Animal Health, Kim Simpson from Amaroo Park, Karen Parish (Mountain & Moorland Aust) Julie Abrehart, Fay Keen, Lesley Grimshaw, Shelley Murcutt, Michelle Gorton (Oakton Lodge Performance Horses), Ziazine Williams (NRCHAA) for allowing me to be creative and designing the garlands on their behalf over the last 12 months.

Tomorrow I am heading off to Warragul Show as a sponsor and presenting garlands to winners of some supreme championships. The colour criteria is because it’s the Anniversary of the Society and the colours are blue, yellow and white. I have also created a body garland for Supreme Rider instead of a Floral Armband Rosette but in the past I have always been wary of design this style as they can slip with the weight so this design is a lot lighter and different style. Here are some sneaky peek photos. Oh and the other exciting thing is children in leading rein classes will receive a special showbag gift from me at Garlands by Alison.

Yesterday I got to attend a very special event for the SHCV International Showdown for Mountain & Moorland Group at Werribee Equestrian Centre and present the garland and armband to winners. My apologies for not getting names but if you won these please feel free to share my post with your friends. Also a big congratulations. I was do proud of how stunning the garland turned out of fitted the pony beautifully. This garland was a very special design for the show and includes lights so I’m looking forward to receiving some night time photos from the winner.
