🐾💙 Happy Vet Nurse Day! 💙🐾

Today we're celebrating our incredible team of veterinary nurses – Tayla, Kameel, Katie, Maiya, Marianna, Anika (not pictured) and Eryn (not pictured)! 🩺🐶🐱

Our nurses are the heart of Melba Vet, and we couldn't do what we do without them! From comforting nervous pets and giving endless cuddles, to monitoring anaesthetics, assisting in surgery and providing exceptional care to our patients, they do it all (and so much more!).

Behind every happy, healthy pet is a team of dedicated nurses working tirelessly to make sure they receive the very best care. 💕

We are so lucky to have such a caring, hardworking and fun-loving bunch of nurses who bring so much to our clinic every single day.

Thank you for everything you do, not only for our patients, but for their families and the entire Melba Vet team. We appreciate you more than you know! 🥰

Please join us in showing our wonderful nurses some love today! 💙🐾

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TAYLA! 🎉

We got to spend yet another birthday celebrating our Head Nurse, Tayla! 🥳

A plate full of cookies and brownies was the only way to go for this one because cake is a definite no! 🍪🤎

She’s all action out the back, keeping things moving, and when she’s on the desk on a Monday, she’s the ray of sunshine you’ll see as you walk through the door ☀️

Join us in wishing Tayla a very happy birthday! We’re so happy we got to celebrate another special day with you, Tayla… even if you did get your own age wrong!

🐾 A Friendly Reminder About Our Prepayment Policy 🐾

Due to a recent increase in missed appointments and last-minute cancellations involving bookings for two or more pets, we are reinforcing our existing prepayment policy.

When multiple appointments are booked and then missed or cancelled at short notice, it means other sick and unwell pets may miss out on the veterinary care they need. 💙

To help us manage our appointment availability and ensure we can care for as many pets as possible, all bookings for two or more pets will require prepayment of the consultation fee for each pet at the time of booking.

We understand that plans can change, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us keep appointments available for pets who need them.

Thank you for supporting our team and helping us provide the best possible care for our patients! 🐶🐱

🐴 A bittersweet farewell to our wonderful Katie ❤️

After being such a valued part of the Melba Vet team, Katie is getting ready for a big move up north to Singleton, where she’ll be joining her partner and starting an exciting new chapter.

While we are incredibly sad to see her go, we’re also so excited for her and wish her nothing but the very best for this next adventure!

Today, we spent some time together doing one of Katie’s favourite things — horse riding! 🐎 It was a lovely way to celebrate her and enjoy some time together before the big move.

Thankfully, we don’t have to say goodbye just yet! Katie will be with us until the 7th, so there are still a few weeks to pop in and wish her well before she heads north.

Katie, thank you for everything you’ve brought to Melba Vet. You’ll be very missed by all of us — and we can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings for you. ❤️

Another Melba Vet baby is on the way!

Dr Harry and his wife, Kate, are preparing to welcome their little one towards the end of the year!

As they get ready for this exciting new chapter, Harry will no longer be working Mondays, but don’t fear, he’s not disappearing just yet! You’ll still find him in the clinic Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until he heads off on paternity leave later in the year. 🐾

If Harry is your pet’s usual vet, we recommend booking ahead where possible as his appointment availability will be a little more limited.

We’re so excited for Harry and Kate!

Our very own Dr Teagan will be starting maternity leave soon as she prepares to welcome her second bundle of joy!

Teagan’s last day with us before starting maternity leave will be Saturday, 19 September.

We’re so excited for Teagan and her growing family and wish her all the very best as they get ready for their newest little arrival. 💗

If your pet usually sees Dr Teagan, make sure to book in before she heads off on maternity leave to squeeze in one last visit! 🐾

We’ll miss you, Teagan — but we can’t wait to meet the newest little member of the Melba Vet family! 🥰
