How are they gonna know? 👀 … Oh, they’ll know when they hear that breathing difference 😮‍💨💙

This BOAS surgery was performed right here at Maroubra Junction Vet to help improve this gorgeous Frenchie’s airflow and make breathing more comfortable.

BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) commonly affects flat-faced breeds such as French Bulldogs, Pugs and English Bulldogs. Their shortened facial structure can restrict airflow and make breathing, exercising and regulating body temperature more difficult.

In this before and after, you can see how the nostrils have been widened to improve airflow — a small change that can make a big difference to their comfort and quality of life. 🫁✨

Meet Sonny, a 4-year-old Cavoodle who recently had a professional scale and polish. After removing the tartar build-up, his teeth are looking great—and his family have noticed he’s been happier, more comfortable, and enjoying much fresher breath! 💙

Dental disease often develops slowly, so regular dental checks are the best way to catch problems early. If your pet has bad breath, visible tartar, or it’s been a while since their last dental assessment, book them in for a check. If needed, we’ll recommend a professional dental clean.

🐶 Please welcome our newest Dogtor… working alongside Dr. Irene! 🩺😂

This handsome pup came in for his annual health check and vaccinations, and we think he might be interviewing for a permanent position! 💙

While he looks ready to give out treats and belly rubs, his visit was all about staying healthy. Annual vaccinations help protect dogs against serious infectious diseases, while their yearly health check gives us the opportunity to assess their overall wellbeing and catch any potential problems early.

Prevention is always better than treatment, and keeping your dog’s vaccinations up to date is one of the best ways to help them enjoy a long, happy, and healthy life. 🐾

Our newest Dogtor definitely earned a promotion today… although we think he’ll be sticking to quality control in the treat department! 🦴💙
