This BOAS surgery was performed right here at Maroubra Junction Vet to help improve this gorgeous Frenchie’s airflow and make breathing more comfortable.
BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) commonly affects flat-faced breeds such as French Bulldogs, Pugs and English Bulldogs. Their shortened facial structure can restrict airflow and make breathing, exercising and regulating body temperature more difficult.
In this before and after, you can see how the nostrils have been widened to improve airflow — a small change that can make a big difference to their comfort and quality of life. 🫁✨
