💛 R U OK? Day 💛
Working in veterinary medicine means caring deeply — for our patients, their families and each other.
It’s an incredibly rewarding profession, but there are also days that carry a lot of emotional weight. Our veterinary teams are there for some of life’s happiest moments, but also some of the hardest — supporting families through difficult diagnoses, challenging decisions, emergencies, grief and saying goodbye to much-loved pets.
Behind the scrubs are people who care deeply, and sometimes the people who spend their days looking after everyone else need someone to check in on them too.
Today, on R U OK? Day and World Su***de Prevention Day, we want to recognise everyone working across the veterinary profession — our vets, nurses, receptionists, animal attendants and support teams.
Check in with your colleagues. Check in with your friends. And don’t be afraid to check in with yourself, too.
Sometimes a genuine “Are you OK?” can open the door to a conversation someone really needs. 💛
