Every week I get requests from folks ‘ getting back into riding‘ and looking for their unicorn ! 🦄

Most of mine are babies or re- starts themselves so not suitable in many instances ( not all ! )
Folks understandably want the bomb proof half heavy horse .. not too big but can carry a bit of weight ..sadly they don’t tend to come in the market very often as if folks do sell they get snapped up by friends/ contacts . If they do they are expensive .

These are some of the EA tips … may be obvious but really maybe where some folks should start x

He is a handsome boy with a stunning mixture of his breeding . Super conformation , no medical issues / injuries .

Woody has a very sweet temperament - trots to to you and follows you around , a mean thought never enters his head - he loves all horses and people and tries his hardest . If horses had an IQ test he wouldn’t make the A team but with that comes his unfailing devotion !

Backed for around 6 months now he has had lots of trail riding and a few baby outings to rallies , XC lessons / flat lessons and SJ encouragement days . Several weeks with professional trainers but lack of competition experience due to rider availability ( which has now changed) Has came to us direct from breeder Spierwood sport horses, where he had a great start and well handled .

He is a big green athletic horse , he can have a baby spook , which experienced riders laugh at ( but not old ladies like myself - which is a shame as I can’t deny I have thought about him being my successor to big Ted) , no vices , good to handle / float - can resist the bridle on occasion but improving .

He is in full work and working on his straightness / strength .

He is brave and building on his experience each week
Woody is an unspoilt low mileage horse with ability to be a great all rounder or any chosen discipline . Looks flashy enough for showing and the athleticism for eventing .

Up to date with teeth/ vacc/ chip/ brand /feet/ wormer
Woodys price will increase as his education and experience increases .
