Big adventures ahead for Dr. Justin and Dr. Jackie as they take to the skies this week, heading out across the Torres Strait and surrounding islands to provide much-needed veterinary care to communities and animals in remote areas.

From beloved family pets to livestock and all things community, they’ll be spending the next two weeks delivering essential vet work, supporting animal health, and helping communities where access to veterinary services can often be limited.

We’re incredibly proud of the work our team does beyond the clinic walls, and this trip is another amazing example of their passion, dedication, and commitment to caring for animals wherever they’re needed most.

Please note Dr. Justin and Dr. Jackie will be out of clinic another week while they’re away on this incredible trip. We can’t wait to share some highlights from their journey along the way!

Today our team is wearing blue for Do It For Dolly Day 💙

At Central Vets, we know kindness matters — whether it’s in the clinic, at school, online, or in everyday life. We’re proud to support a day that encourages important conversations around bullying, mental health, and looking out for one another.

A little kindness can make a big difference.

A very special little visitor came in to see us… 🐐💛

This adorable goat came by with a small abscess on his face, and while it was a simple fix, he completely stole our hearts while he was here.

Full of personality, a little bit cheeky, and absolutely unforgettable — safe to say we were all a little obsessed 🥹💛

Lest We Forget 🌺

Today, on ANZAC Day 2026, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of all those who served and gave so much for our country.

We honour their legacy, their mateship, and the freedom they fought to protect.

May we never forget the price of that sacrifice, and may their memory live on in all of us.

We will remember them.

We were in the middle of recording a timelapse of 4 cat castrates… when an emergency came in. 🚑🐾

Without hesitation, everything shifted.

What was a routine moment quickly turned into all hands on deck — and this team didn’t miss a beat. Everyone stepped into their role, backed each other, and worked seamlessly to make sure that patient got exactly what they needed, right when they needed it.

This is what makes our team so special — calm under pressure, incredibly skilled, and always ready to show up when it counts.

Proud of this crew, every single day 💛
