🐴 Meet Sarah, our new riding instructor at Meraki Equestrian Centre!
Sarah is a French riding instructor who has been riding since she was seven years old. Over the past five years, she has worked in a variety of equestrian roles, including stable hand, groom at racing studs and trail riding guide. She gained her formal riding instructor qualification through two years of training and practical experience at a busy, modern equestrian centre in Corsica, France.
Throughout her career, Sarah has developed her riding and horsemanship skills across a wide range of disciplines, including showjumping, dressage, show hunter, pony games, TREC and cross-country. She enjoys bringing this variety into her lessons to help riders build their skills and confidence while having fun.
Sarah also spent six months working at Lighthorse Adventures in Glenorchy, New Zealand, where she achieved her Parelli Level 2 certification in both ridden work and groundwork. Horsemanship is central to the centre’s approach, with a strong focus on building understanding and trust between horses and riders.
Her four years of experience as a trail riding guide in some beautiful locations have helped her develop a keen understanding of both horses and people. She pays close attention to behaviour, emotions and energy, and how these influence the connection between horse and rider. For Sarah, riding is about building a partnership.
In her lessons, Sarah encourages riders to understand the “why” behind what they are doing. Her aim is to develop confident, independent riders who can communicate clearly and consistently with their horses and understand how horses learn.
Whether you want to improve your riding, develop your horsemanship or explore different disciplines, Sarah is happy to tailor her teaching to your goals and interests.
She is excited to join the Meraki team and looks forward to meeting you and sharing her knowledge and love of horses! 💛
📅 Lessons with Sarah are available to book for Tuesday 27 October onwards. Book through EC Pro to secure your spot!
