We only accept Social Dogs in our Group. All dogs will be Temperament Tested before joining. We have a strict Screening Process before New Dogs Join (we do not accept certain breeds due to their playstyle) check our website for the dog breeds we accept in our playgroup)

The loves of our lives!! ❤️when getting new signage for our Vehicles, it wasnt hard to choose the ‘breed’ as our Mascot. Bruce, Florence, Zulu & Shaka are Basenji’s.. otherwise known as the African Dingo. A very ancient breed. One of the oldest Breeds in the world! Originating from central Africa, they’re famously known as the “barkless dog” with many cat-like habits 🤪 can’t tell you how much we LOVE them!

TIPs for a Positive Park Experience – if you use dog parks, we highly recommend (when you see a new dog entering) to put a lead on your dog on a lead Or simply move your dog away from the entrance for a few minutes to allow the new dog to enter unimpeded! If a dog could talk we 100% know for sure, (as Dogs psychologists), that a dog would much prefer, as he enters the Park to meet one dog at a time and not 10 to 20 dogs at a time up in his face… it’s too overwhelming. The entrance to a dog park is often the high risk zone & is where most conflicts occurs. We hope in the future there will be signs erected by Council to encourage people to implement this courtesy to fellow dog owners. doggydaycarebrisbane

What a rewarding Consult! What a beautiful Family! Thanks to Hannah & Tim for having us over! this lovely Couple are having challenges with their little Moodle (Sadie) & her Sleeping arrangements… therefore experiencing sleep deprivation (which isn’t working with their busy schedule). so their Homework is practicing our “Daytime Detachment” recommendations & slowly increasing distance & duration. Sadie also has separation anxiety (very common) so we helped them understand what they’re doing (unknowingly) that’s feeding into that & how to help Sadie feel safe & confident when they’re not around. Other topics we covered included: Why putting “Human Solutions” on another Species Problems doesn’t work, Reuniting Rituals, How your Energy (& your Intention) speaks louder than any words ever could… nutrition & exercise. With their busy schedules they’re quite time-poor so we gave them suggestions on how to increase her exercise & mental stimulation. Hannah & Tim now have a plan & understand the Gift of Leadership. For a happy and healthy Dog we believe you must meet the Dogs needs at a physical,emotional and mental level. Helping people understand that dogs share their ancestry with the grey wolf is vital to understanding your pet dog. At Houndog we specialise in Dog psychology and understanding the species you’re living with. We have an absolute welfare first approach to dog training and getting the foundations right first!
