Six weeks old 🤍🌼

Our little spring babies are 6 weeks old now and this week came with some very big milestones

They’ve all had their vet checks, first vaccinations and microchips done, and handled it all so well 🥹

The vet check is always such an important part of this stage, making sure everyone is developing as expected before they head into their final couple of weeks with us. Their first vaccination has also started building their protection, although they’ll still need their follow-up vaccinations with their new families before they’re fully covered

Their personalities are really starting to shine now too. They’re confident, playful, curious and very interested in everything going on around them

We’re continuing with lots of positive experiences, different sounds and surfaces, handling, crate time and plenty of opportunities to explore and learn

It’s crazy to think we only have a couple more weeks with them before they start heading off to their families 🤍

Christmas puppies are coming 🎄✨

Koa is officially pregnant and expecting 7 to 8 puppies with Clairevale Western Star

These little ones are due 29 October, which means they’ll be 8 weeks old on Christmas Eve 🥹🤍

Quite literally, Christmas puppies

We’re expecting gorgeous medium fleece coats in caramel and red abstract, and we are so excited to see what this pairing produces

Five weeks old 🤍🌼

These little ones are 5 weeks old now and this is such a fun age

They’re playing properly with each other, getting braver with exploring and we’re starting to see their personalities coming through more and more each day

They’re also becoming much more interested in us and love coming over for cuddles, attention and a bit of play, which makes spending time with them very easy 🥹

At this age we keep building on lots of little everyday experiences, different sounds, surfaces, toys, handling and new things to explore, all at their own pace so they can keep growing in confidence

They’re also well into the weaning stage now, eating more independently while still enjoying time with Lola, and it’s lovely watching them become that little bit more capable each day

The next few weeks are going to fly by and I already know I’m not ready for it 🤍

Four weeks old 🤍🌼

These little spring babies are 4 weeks old now and getting more fun by the day

They’re so much more confident on their feet, playing with each other, exploring everything around them and starting to show us their little personalities

We’ve been introducing lots of simple new experiences like different surfaces, toys, sounds and plenty of handling so they can keep building confidence in a calm and positive way

They’ve also started getting used to the crate as part of their routine, with lots of naps and quiet time in there so it becomes somewhere familiar and comfortable for them

They’re definitely becoming more social too and love coming over for cuddles and attention, which makes it very hard to get anything else done 😂

Lola is still doing such a beautiful job with them, although they’re getting more independent every day now

Three weeks old 🌼🤍

And just like that, our little spring babies are 3 weeks old

They’re really starting to feel like tiny puppies now rather than newborns. Eyes are open, they’re getting much steadier on their feet and we’re starting to see them noticing each other and the world around them so much more

Their hearing is developing now too, so this is such a lovely little stage where their world suddenly starts getting bigger. We’ll keep gently introducing them to everyday sounds, handling and new experiences while still keeping everything calm and age appropriate

They’re also beginning to toddle around with a bit more purpose and we’re starting to catch those first little moments of play between siblings 🥹

Lola is still doing an amazing job with them, although you can definitely see the puppies becoming a little more independent each day

The next few weeks are where the fun really begins and I can’t wait to watch their little personalities start coming through 🤍🌿

Two weeks old today 🤍

These five are growing so beautifully and suddenly looking much more like little puppies

Their eyes are starting to open now, which is always such a sweet stage. Everything is still very blurry for them, but over the next week they’ll start becoming much more aware of what’s going on around them

They’ve all continued to gain weight really well and are spending most of their days feeding, sleeping in a pile together and starting to have a little wobble around the whelping box

Lola is still being the most beautiful mum and is so attentive with them. She’s settled into motherhood so naturally

I feel like this is the point where everything starts to change so quickly. Before we know it, they’ll be up, moving around and their little personalities will start coming through 🥹🌼

🌸 ONE WEEK OLD 🌸

10 days of our little spring babies 🌼🤍

Just over a week earthside and these five are doing so beautifully.

They have all gained weight really well, which is exactly what we love to see at this stage and a lovely sign that they are feeding well and getting everything they need from Lola. Their days are still mostly made up of milk, sleep, growing and snuggling into one another… a pretty good life really. 🥹

And we’re starting to see the tiniest little changes already. A couple of the puppies have what looks like the smallest sliver of an eye beginning to peek through. Puppies are born with their eyes closed and they generally begin opening somewhere around 10–14 days old, so we’re right on the cusp of one of my favourite little milestones.

Lola continues to be such a beautiful, attentive mum. Everyone is content, chunky and growing exactly as we’d hope. 🤍

It’s amazing how much can change in just ten days. Soon those little eyes will be open and their whole world will start getting a little bit bigger. 🌿

Meet Lola & Cooper’s little spring babies 🌼🌿☀️

Born right as spring was beginning, it felt only fitting that their guardian family chose the sweetest spring-inspired names for this little bunch

🌼 Miss Poppy
🌿 Mr Forest
🌸 Miss Posy
🌼 Miss Daisy
☀️ Mr Sunny

And goodness, look at the colours in this litter! From those rich caramel shades to the beautiful white markings, they are such a gorgeous little mix and I’m already so excited to watch how their coats develop as they grow

Lola is also doing the most beautiful job as a first-time mum. She is incredibly attentive and rarely wants to be far from her babies, always checking on them, feeding them and keeping everyone clean and settled

Those simple things are actually so important at this age. Newborn puppies rely completely on their mum for milk and warmth, and her grooming also helps stimulate them to toilet during these very early days. Having a calm, attentive mum who is comfortable caring for her puppies gives them such a lovely environment to spend these first weeks simply feeding, sleeping and growing🤍

For now, their whole world is Lola, warm cuddles and full little bellies… and that is exactly how it should be.

Our 7.5 week old chocolate puppies are at the sweetest stage. Their little personalities are shining, their confidence is growing and every day they become more playful, affectionate and curious about the world.

This age is full of gentle tumbles, soft barks, cuddles and clumsy zoomies. Watching them explore, interact and discover new things has been such a joy. They are turning into the loveliest companions and we could not be more proud of them.
