Daphne and Shaggy are a beautiful senior duo looking for a forever home together. When they first came into our care, both needed dental surgery, and now that they’re feeling much happier and healthier, it’s finally time for them to find a family of their own.

Shaggy is very dependent on Daphne, taking comfort and confidence from having her by his side, which is why we have decided they must be rehomed as a pair. Their bond is incredibly sweet to watch and they truly thrive together.

Don’t let their age fool you, these two are still very active and full of life. They would love a home that can provide them with a busy yet balanced lifestyle, enjoying daily walks, adventures, and plenty of time with their people, while also appreciating the comfort of relaxing together at the end of the day.

Daphne and Shaggy are ready to spend their golden years being loved and cherished in a home that understands just how special senior dogs can be. 🤍

Nicki was one of the six Staffy x puppies we shared late last year, the litter that came from a country pound after being rescued from a really poor situation. They came in scared, shut down, and facing euthanasia simply because of where they came from and what they look like.

She got out. She got her chance. She was adopted.

But in the past few months, Nicki has been returned, through no fault of her own, and has found herself back with us, starting over again.

She’s still just a young dog, but her start in life has shaped her. Nicki is a sensitive girl who can feel overwhelmed in new environments and takes a little time to feel safe. She’s gentle, a bit shy at first, and still learning how to navigate the world around her.

With other dogs, she lights up. She loves their company and really comes out of her shell, but she’s still learning her boundaries and will need guidance, structure, and someone patient enough to help her keep growing.

What she needs now is consistency. A calm home. Someone experienced who understands that dogs like Nicki aren’t “difficult,” they just need time, stability, and the chance to feel secure.

She didn’t get the best start, and now she’s had to start again.

Nicki is ready for a home that will be her last.

We really need help right now. The applications just… aren’t coming through. And honestly, we don’t know what else to do.

More cats keep arriving, but not enough are finding homes. Every day they come in, and no matter how much we share them, they’re still being overlooked.

Meet Mace 💛🐾

There’s something really special about seeing him like this, running, playing, completely in the moment. For a dog who’s been overlooked for so long, these are the moments we wish more people could see.

Mace is about 9, but he still has so much life in him. He’s playful, energetic, and genuinely loves being out doing things with his people. He’s not slowing down anytime soon, he’s still very much a dog who wants to be part of everything.

He’s also incredibly people focused. Mace forms strong bonds and just wants someone to share his world with. He’ll need a home where he can be the only dog and where someone is around most of the time, as he doesn’t cope well being left alone for long periods.

He does best with structure, routine, and an active lifestyle, and with the right person, he gives so much back. He’s loyal, engaging, and full of personality.

Dogs like Mace are easy to miss in a busy shelter, but they’re often the ones with the most to give once someone takes the time to really see them.

Our Dinosaur litter is finally ready to find their forever homes 🦖🤍

Tyrannosaurus, Velociraptor, Spinosaurus, Stegasaurus, Brontosaurus, and Triceratops came into care at around 6 weeks of age after being found as sick little strays. They needed some time in isolation while they recovered, but after lots of care (and plenty of good food and cuddles), they are now healthy, happy, and thriving.

They have really come out of their shells over the past few weeks and their distinct personalities are slowly shining through. They are incredibly playful, cheeky, curious, and sweet, everything you could want in a little feline buddy!

Seeing them go from quiet, unwell kittens to sweet and confident little munchkins ready for families of their own has been so rewarding.

Now our little crew are ready for the next chapter, warm beds, loving homes, and families to spoil them the way they absolutely deserve 🐾

If you have been thinking about adopting, we would love for you to meet our Dinosaur kittens. After everything they have been through, they deserve nothing less than a lifetime of love. 🦕🤍

Meet Guillermo 🤍🐾

This big, happy boy has come such a long way during his time with us, and now he’s ready to find a home to call his own.

At just 14 months old, Guillermo is full of life, love, and personality. He’s got a playful, energetic nature and while he can be a little bit hectic at times, it’s all part of what makes him so lovable. With the right guidance and structure, he’s going to absolutely thrive.

Guillermo has been building his confidence around other dogs and is starting to show his playful side, especially with calm, confident female dogs. He’s still learning, so continued socialisation will be important for him.

He’s also partially toilet trained and will need a home committed to continuing his training. With patience, consistency, and a solid routine, he’s going to keep improving every day.

Guillermo would suit an adult home that can match his energy and help guide him into the incredible dog he’s becoming.

He’s done the hard part… now he just needs someone to choose him 🤍

If love could be a cat… it would be Cornelius 🤍🐾

This boy is pure affection. The second you’re near him, he’s leaning in for headbutts, making biscuits like it’s his full time job, and purring non stop. He doesn’t just enjoy attention… he absolutely lives for it.

He’s the kind of cat who will seek you out, press his little head into you, and remind you over and over again that he’s there, ready for pats, cuddles, and your company.

Cornelius can be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long before that smoochy, loving personality takes over. And once it does… you’ve got a shadow, a best friend, and a constant source of comfort all in one.

He’s looking for an indoor only home where he can feel safe, settle in, and keep being his affectionate, biscuit making self. He’d suit a family with cat savvy teenagers and could also live with a cat savvy dog.

From the moment they arrive, every puppy is cared for, treated, assessed, and given the safety they never had before. We take the time to get to know them, build their confidence, and prepare them for the lives they deserve.

As a non-for-profit and the only no-kill pound in Victoria, we’re committed to saving as many lives as possible, giving animals the second chances they were so close to losing.

And now… they’re ready.
