Another interesting day cruising the lower hunter/ got called to teralba to a nice youg girl and her lovely dad and 5yr old thoroughbred/ the horse had a bad cracked hoof and wouldnt load on a float /a thorough trim got his hooves back in order then off to the float to train all 3 ,owner , horse and dad who will have to assist getting them out and about. Using the foaltastic white stick method and all very patient we had him loaded after 20 mins then on and off 5 times / everyone ended happy!

Mounting is one of the hardest parts of horse riding!! If you are having trouble make one of these, just need 5 milkcrates and a handful of cable ties!! When using this mounting device you do not pull the saddle across the whither, which is where most problems start.

Great news tonight on the horse wheeler dealers/ people are moving to reel them in. Many ex gallopers are fine if they go to experienced riders, the problem is these horses have spent their life being urged to hurry. As a farrier I see so many horses being put in the wrong hands not just thorougbreds/I am learning to hate the word Rescue, these so called rescue horses are often sold, yes sold not given to people who can not handle them.many of these are old rogues that were in the pet horse yard for a damn good reason. congratulations to the people mounting a challenge to the Horse rorters .

Gratifying day to day handling and correcting, the hooves on four of my foaltastic trained foals now 9/10 months old,my assistant was amazed how they behaved in 40mph wind,well done the students who attended the Ashwood Foaltastic clinic last december your equine kids done you proud. pictured is danni smithson with one of them 7 months ago also congrats to wendy from wendys rope halters job well done and also rob the pizza man for your work on blue he was a gem mate.
