We’re 7 weeks into our bathroom and hallway reno, and are finally getting to the fun part!

The floor plan has changed approximately 17 times with some changes being exciting upgrades while others had me verging on a toddler style tantrum. Thankfully, the original mood board (slide 2) is still mostly relevant.

We’re probably only about 60% of the way through, but looking back at the before photos already feels a bit wild. The new window, back door, and hallway flooring went in last week so for the first time it feels like things are moving quickly. There was so much structural stuff that needed doing first like replacing piers, bearers, and joists, so these updates are definitely a lot more fun!

The plasterer is here this week, the waterproofer is up next, and then the really exciting stage begins when the tiler arrives the following week. After that it should only be a couple more weeks until it’s finished!

Windflowers = stunning, gorgeous, beautiful, perfect 🤌🏻🤍

Japanese Anemones save me every autumn when the powdery mildew takes over my zinnias and things start to slow down.

1000 pansies tucked into the soil back in March… all in the name of long, dreamy stems by August.

Last year we ordered our pansy plugs to arrive in May but didn’t get good stem length until the very end of September. Meanwhile, our January-sown seedlings were ready by late August so we’ve shuffled things forward this season and ordered our plugs earlier to match.

We’re also trialling something new: edging on our in-ground beds. The idea is to give the plants a bit of support and a touch of shade so they stretch up for the light. This one came from our chat with Jen at on the podcast who grows her pansies in raised beds with lower soil levels. Will report back next Spring with my thoughts

Everbloom Lioness = the cure to my flower depression

This summer season has totally sucked but my most anticipated dahlia is blooming and exactly what I needed to pull me out of the hole I’ve been in and make me like flowers again 😂

Thank you to .farmers for breeding and sharing this beauty with the world!

The seed shop re-stock is live! We’ve got more of the Sea Shells Coreopsis you all went nuts for, two colours of my favourite Foxglove variety ‘Dalmatian’ that flowers in it’s first year, and three of the best cut flower pansies (imo) have been added to the shop as well.

I love seeing what everyone chooses. Last time it was Coreopsis, Corncockle and Jewels of Opar that were the most popular. Can’t wait to see what it will be this time!

Hops season is here, which means itchy forearms and a reminder that I really need to buy long gloves. These vines don’t mess around with their scratchy little stems, and avoiding the tendrils while harvesting is basically impossible. They’re worth it though 😍

To go along with our episode that dropped today, I created a downloadable resource called “Selling to Florists: A Practical Guide for Flower Farmers”, which is now for sale on my website.

I’ve been slowly chipping away at this since September and it turned into a 24 page beast of a document, because of course it did 😂. I made sure to include real examples and practical step-by-step processes because there is nothing I hate more than downloading a guide and finding it’s just a bunch of vague advice.

Head to the shop page on our website to have a squiz. Link in bio.
