Mackay Mobile Vets is a family owned mobile veterinary practice providing compassionate veterinary care in the comfort of our patients homes. We care for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and other small companion animals, helping families who find it difficult or stressful to visit a traditional veterinary clinic.

The Role
We’re looking for a friendly, compassionate veterinarian to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
Working alongside a veterinary nurse, you’ll travel in our purpose built mobile veterinary van to provide consultations, preventative healthcare, diagnostics, end of life care and quality of life assessments in patients homes.
Our appointments allow time to connect with clients, educate pet owners and practice medicine without feeling rushed.
This role involves:
🐾 Providing high quality veterinary care in patients homes
🐾 Building trusted relationships with pet owners
🐾 Driving our fully equipped mobile veterinary vehicle
🐾 Assisting families with compassionate end of life care
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
🐾 A qualified small animal veterinarian eligible to practice in Australia
🐾 Friendly, compassionate and an excellent communicator
🐾 Confident with general practice veterinary medicine
🐾 Comfortable working independently with nursing support
🐾 Organised and solutions focused
🐾 Holder of a current, unrestricted driver’s licence with a good driving record

What We Offer
🐾 Permanent part-time position available (2-3 days a week)
🐾 Monday to Friday roster
🐾 7:00 am to 4:30 pm (Some flexibility around hours for the right candidate)
🐾 Usual leave entitlements including CPD allowance
