A shout out to Suzie.
Suzie has come a long way since the few very first lessons I gave her where I couldn’t get her in her horse. She had so much anxiety that it would be so over barring she couldn’t get on! Now fast forward a few years and a couple of horses in between she now has the wonderful jatz (for a little over 12 months)
Well done Suzie keep following those goals

Over the past 6 or so months I’ve been working with Lisa and her beloved Thor. Lisa was having trouble getting Thor to go forward and picking up the incorrect canter lead on the right. With Lisa’s dedication to her riding and me tweaking him each week this pair has come a long way and have finally been to their first competition together. Lisa and Thor competed at the North Queensland Games (dressage) on Monday and smashed out two great tests
1st in the prep 2
2nd in the preliminary 1.2 (slight trouble getting the correct lead but fixed quickly)
I’m so super proud of you both.
The effort and dedication is amazing and Thor couldn’t be more loved by anyone else.

Over the long weekend myself, Suzie and Payton and our trusty steads MoMan, Jatzy and Chesty headed to townsville to the NQEG Classic. Payton and I competed in the All Round Horse Challenge, show jumping and hacking (myself hacks and Payton hunter hacks) Suzie competed in the dressage and hacking (topsy ring) was a super weekend with lots of great results.

Mr MoMan:
3rd in the All round horse challenge (only horse to go double clear in the jumping)
6th in the 80cm (mum should know not to fight with him in front of a jump)
2nd led hack
2nd OTT led hack
1st OTT ridden
1st novice hack
1st hack over 16hh
1st adults hack
1st old peoples rider class 😂
Supreme champion hack

The highlight of my weekend was competing for supreme champion against little Darcy and her beautiful but naughty pally pony. I met Darcy last year when her pony was giving her lots of troubles and then to see her 12 months later starting to master him made me so happy but most of all Darcy lent her pony to a friend and led her around in the topsy ring that my friends melted my heart and even though she didn’t win supreme MoMan and I decided that Darcy and her pony deserved our garland.

A couple of weeks back I had the opportunity to clip a mini named ‘Lamb Chop’. Lamb Chop isn’t just your average mini poor little Lamb Chop has never really been handled. She got dropped off at her previous owners straight after weaning and a halter that was cutting into her face 😔😔 not a lot of handling at all. Then Lamb Chop thought the grass was greener on the other side of the cow paddock where the horses were and made her way into her new owners property😊😊 Lamb Chop suffers from bad itch so it was decided to give her a clip. For a pony that has never really been handled I was quite sure what to expect so I took my time to get to know her and what do you know……. She quite enjoyed the clip.

MICROWAVE JENNY found her forever home but unfortunately she had a paddock accident, sustaining a broken elbow and had to be pts. Both her new home, myself and her trainers are all devastated that this has happened to her. She was a beautiful horse and she had lots of potential following her racing career. Accidents happen unfortunately and we all hope she is flying high on horse heaven with all the other great horses we have all had in our lives.
