We have a couple of casual vacancies coming up for new team members.
Both junior and senior people are welcome to contact me to discuss options.

This may suit you if you are:
- A college or uni student looking for flexible hours
- A second job for someone who would like to fund their horse habit
- A junior with some horse experience looking for some casual work

Hours are flexible, we are open from 7am until 8pm, so there are many different shifts each day.

Please note - these positions include a lot of walking up and down hills, so a reasonable level of physical fitness is very helpful.

We are a busy environment with a wonderful team of 4 coaches, 20 staff, and 30 plus horses. We have clients horses here for training, as well as our own horses for lessons, and in training.

Junior Stablehand
After School and Saturday options
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Paddock maintenance, picking up manure
- Filling hay nets and assisting with feeding and horse care
- Bringing horses in as required for lessons, and helping to prepare
- General stable maintenance raking, cleaning and tidying

Desired qualities:
- Some horse experience
- Ability to work without supervision
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong work ethic, prepared to work hard

Senior Stable hand
Responsibilities may include but not limited to
- Mixing and delivering feeds, putting away feed as delivered
- Filling hay bags and nets
- Rugging and unrugging horses
- Bringing horses in for lessons, and professional visits and putting away afterwards
- Helping riders prepare for lessons
- Arena, Paddock, property and stable maintenance

Desired Qualities:
- Horse Experience - preferably confident handling a range of horses, including young stock and OTT
- Genuinely care about horse welfare
- Strong people skills, friendly and approachable
- Reliable and Punctual
- Drivers licence - ATV and tractor driving experience a big plus (not essential)
- First Aid Certificate
- Working with Vulnerable people certificate
- Ideally Available during the day, early mornings and later evenings as well as weekends.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently

Hours are negotiable, and possible to share between the team, as days and hours vary from week to week subject to bookings and workload.

Our next Adults Development Days are coming up on Friday 21st August and 18th September.

These full day clinics consist of riders choice of activities with options including:
- Flatwork/Basic Dressage
- Poles/Jumping
- Groundwork skills
- Trail Rides
- Ba****ck
- Mounted Games
- In Hand and Lunging

Bring your horse or enjoy one of ours.

Come for 1 activity or do them all 🤠

1 hour private or shared session includes:

- How to be safe around ponies
- Grooming and caring for our ponies
- Saddling up
- Leading
- As well as a led ride.

We are located at Lower Longley, about 20 minutes south of Hobart, and we are open Monday - Saturday, with early morning and evening lessons available for those who would like to ride before or after work.
