🪷Discover the Healing Touch of Acupuncture for Pets with Dr Karen🪷

Acupuncture is an ancient practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that works by inserting ultra-fine needles into precise points on the body to help relieve pain, promote healing, and restore balance.

At Noah’s Crossing, we combine this therapy with modern veterinary care to help your pet feel their best 💜

🐾Why Acupuncture Might Be Right for Your Pet🐾

✨Effective Pain Relief & Chronic Condition Support
Acupuncture is highly effective for managing chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, helping reduce discomfort and improve mobility.

✨Broad Range of Benefits
At Noah’s Crossing, acupuncture is also used to support wound healing, ease nausea, assist in stroke recovery, boost immune function, and more!

✨Relaxing, Minimally Invasive Experience
Most pets tolerate acupuncture well, many even relax or fall asleep during treatment. The needles are much thinner than those used for injections, causing minimal discomfort.

✨Complementary Therapy That Works in Tandem
Scientific evidence and veterinary best practices show that acupuncture works best as part of a broader treatment plan, paired with therapies like hydrotherapy, medications, or physical rehabilitation.

Examples of What Acupuncture Helps With:
🐾Joint and Musculoskeletal Ailments: Arthritis, hip dysplasia, post-operative recovery
🐾Neurological & Soft-Tissue Issues: Spinal injuries, nerve damage
🐾Digestive, Respiratory & Immune Support: IBS, asthma, general immune health
🐾Stress & Anxiety Relief: Calming effects personalized to animal patients

✨Why Choose Noah’s Crossing for Acupuncture?
At Noah’s Crossing Vet Clinic, our acupuncture services are provided by Dr Karen who is IVAS certified. We integrate acupuncture with services like hydrotherapy to support comprehensive healing.

Meet Suzie — a sweet greyhound with a big heart and a serious love of snuggles.

Confident, friendly and eager to please, Suzie loves being around people. Toys, tasty treats and plenty of affection are her favourite things, making learning together both fun and rewarding.

Suzie is comfortable around larger dogs and settles happily in her crate for a well-earned snooze. Suzie requires a cat-free home and she hasn’t yet been assessed with children, so suitability would need to be discussed and carefully considered.

Throughout her recovery, Suzie has shown wonderful resilience and adapted beautifully to life as an amputee. Her new family will need to keep her at a healthy, lean weight and provide secure footing, with rugs or nonslip surfaces to help her move confidently.

If you have room in your home—and on your couch—for this lovely snuggle bunny, Suzie could be your girl.

Please enquire through GAP on (08) 8243 7124 or message us here at Noahs to learn more about Suzie, her mobility needs and the home that would suit her best.

🐶☀️ Canine Cough is Circulating Adelaide! 😷

As the weather warms up and our dogs get out and about, we’re seeing Canine Cough popping up throughout Adelaide.

🦠 Signs to look out for:
- A persistent, dry or “honking” cough
- You think there is something stuck in their throat
- Gagging or retching
- Sneezing or nasal discharge
- Lethargy or reduced appetite
- Fever or a wet cough

🐾 How can you help prevent the spread?
✅ Keep coughing dogs away from other dogs
✅ Call your vet before attending an appointment
✅ Avoid dog parks, daycare, grooming and training classes if your dog is unwell
✅ Keep vaccinations up to date! While vaccination helps reduce the risk and severity, it doesn't prevent every case

🚨 When should you worry?
Seek prompt veterinary attention if your dog develops difficulty breathing, significant lethargy, a fever or worsening symptoms. Puppies, elderly dogs and dogs with existing health conditions may be more vulnerable to complications.

🏢 For dog businesses:
Good hygiene, ventilation, cleaning and isolation of unwell dogs are essential to help reduce transmission.

Let’s keep our dogs happy and healthy! If your dog develops a cough, keep them away from other dogs and speak with your Veterinarian 💜

🏅💦 Congratulations Zoe! 💦🏅

We're celebrating the wonderful Miss Zoe!
A little athlete with a big commitment to staying fit and healthy! 🐾💜

Zoe is a regular weekly swimmer at Noah's Crossing Hydrotherapy Pool, using her sessions to help maintain her fitness, strength and conditioning for her sporting adventures 🏊‍♀️🐶

And clearly, all that hard work is paying off! 👏

Zoe recently competed at the Flyball Nationals in Bendigo, VIC, where she and her team proudly took home 🥈 2nd place in Division 6! 🏆

Zoe might not be the fastest dog on the flyball course, but what she lacks in speed, she more than makes up for in consistency 🐾

She runs clean, meaning she doesn't drop the ball or miss any jumps and her personal best is around 8.5 seconds! ⏱️🐾

That's why keeping her body strong and conditioned is so important. Her weekly Hydrotherapy sessions are a great way to support her fitness while providing low impact exercise that's kind to her joints 💪🏼

Congratulations Zoe! 🥈🎉
We love watching you work hard in the pool and then take those skills out into the sporting arena!

Keep swimming, keep running, and keep being wonderfully consistent, Zoe! 💦🐕💨
