Animals have a wonderful way of keeping you humble.
You can study, gain qualifications and spend decades working with animals…and then one horse will come along and teach you something completely new. 😂
I think that’s one of the reasons I still love this work so much.
I've cared for horses, wildlife and pets for many years, and I'm still observing, asking questions and learning from the animals in front of me.
Sometimes the answer isn't another supplement or treatment.
Sometimes it's changing the feed.
Looking at the paddock.
Checking the saddle.
Giving the horse some time.
Or simply noticing something you hadn't noticed before.
Experience gives you knowledge, but animals teach you to keep an open mind.
And I don't think I'll ever stop learning from them. 🐴💚
Ps: This photo is real! I sat in the red dirt (in my best dress) with Cyndee, at Bridestowe Lavender Farm (Tasmania) with Deb from Fur Babies and Friends Photography there to capture the beautiful photo!
