Have you ever seen a Grade 4/4 Dental Case before? 🦷

This is what severe dental disease can look like in our pets. Heavy tartar build-up, inflamed gums and significant dental disease can be hiding beneath all that fur!

The good news is that not every tooth needs to be removed! Each tooth is carefully examined during the dental procedure with dental radiographs used to assess the roots and areas below the gumline that can’t be seen!

Based on the examination and radiograph findings, healthy or treatable teeth may be able to be preserved with appropriate treatment and ongoing dental care.

However, if a tooth is severely damaged, infected, loose or has significant disease affecting the roots or surrounding bone. Extraction may be the kindest and safest option to relieve pain and protect your pet’s oral health.

Regular dental checks are so important! Our pets can’t tell us when their teeth are hurting 💙
