Blacklash Cavalier King Charles Spaniels ANKC registered breeder and exhibitor of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. We raise, train and socialise our puppies using the Puppy Culture programme.

We breed and exhibit Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in conformation shows. Our litters are carefully planned with health and temperament as top prioritites in our breeding programme. We raise our puppies, regardless of whether they are destined for the show ring or a pet home, to be confident and well-adjusted and to face new challenges with joy and curiosity, not fear. g the world renowned "Puppy Culture" rearing and socialisation protocols. We are proud ambassadors and official partners in this programme. We raise and train all our dogs, using positive, rewards based methods and educate others to do the same. We feed and recommend a balanced raw and fresh food diet for optimum health and we educate and support puppy families so they can do this correctly. Homes for our puppies are carefully chosen and potential families undergo a comprehensive screening process so that we can match the right puppy to the right home. We accept expressions of interest all through the year for future litters.

Tonight our Cavaliers are eating BARF patties, ox heart, cottage cheese and roasted sweet potato (served on slow‑feeder mats) — because dogs need real food, not fillers.

Andy is the baby of the family. He was a good boy at his recent vet check and vaccination. 🥰

Andy is beautifully structured and has the nicest round dark, eyes and soft expression that I have ever bred. His show career however, was short because he didn't love the ring. Along with his soft expression, he has a soft temperament. This means he needs a lot of support to help his confidence.

Andy was raised with the Puppy Culture ❤️ protocols, as are all my puppies, but he is a shy dog and nothing is going to change that. His mother, Emelia, is a bold, super confident Cavalier, so I am surprised that Andy is so different.

Genes can do funny and unexpected things though - as I have found out recently. But that is a post for another day. 💔

Andy's confidence is improving but I am careful with him and we do things gently, in his time (not mine 😆), to prevent him from getting overwhelmed.

He does best on outings with a buddy. His favourite friend is Kit but I also like to mix things up so he doesn't fall apart when Kit's not there. He went with his Mummy to this vet trip and was very happy to have her lead the way. And if he needs buddies to live his best life, we have those in spades at the moment. 🥰🥰
