This is why we only adopt out as pairs unless their is a rabbit already in the home 🐰
Rabbits are social animals. They need the company of another rabbit, not just ours. 🐰
A bonded companion gives your rabbit someone to groom, snuggle up to, eat alongside, and simply spend time with. Rabbits kept with a compatible companion can show fewer signs of stress and more natural social behaviours than rabbits kept alone.
But bonding isn’t as simple as putting two rabbits together. Rabbits are territorial, so introductions need to be done carefully, with both rabbits neutered and plenty of time and patience. A good rescue can often help you find a suitable companion and support you through the bonding process.
If your rabbit is currently living alone, it’s never too late to find them a friend. 💚
