CAT CARRIER CALL-OUT!

Our cat carriers seem to have gone on a little adventure… and unfortunately, none of them have made their way home!

We’re always happy to lend our carriers to help get our feline patients home safely, but at the moment our carrier cupboard is completely empty — we currently have ZERO cat carriers available.

If you’ve borrowed a Harbourside Vet Care cat carrier and still have it at home, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could return it to the clinic when you get a chance.

No judgement, no late fees… we’d just really love our carriers back!

If you have a cat carrier that is no longer in use we would be more than happy to take it off your hands 🙌

CALLING ALL PROUD PET PARENTS!

We’re looking for some adorable new faces to feature on the BIG SCREEN in our Harbourside waiting room!

Let’s be honest… your camera roll is probably 90% photos of your pet anyway 😂

So it’s time to put them to good use!

Drop your favourite photo of them in the comments and tell us their name!

Cute photos. Funny photos. Majestic photos. Completely unhinged photos.

We want to see them ALL.

Then keep an eye on the screen next time you’re in — you might just spot a familiar face! 🐶

By sharing a photo below, you’re happy for Harbourside Vet Care to display it on our in-clinic waiting room screen.

OLLIE’S LONG WEEKEND REMINDER!!

Dr Jae’s very handsome boy Ollie has popped in to remind everyone that Harbourside Vet Care will be closed on Monday 5th October for the public holiday.

We’ll be back, refreshed and ready to see you and your pets from Tuesday 6th October.

If your pet requires urgent veterinary care while we’re closed, please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

In the meantime, Ollie plans on taking his public holiday duties very seriously… although we suspect they’ll mostly involve snacks, naps and looking this handsome.

Have a safe and happy long weekend from Ollie and the Harbourside Vet Care team! 🐾

🚨 BIG NEWS AT HARBOURSIDE! 🚨

We’re excited to announce that Harbourside Vet Care now offers GapOnly®!

For eligible pet insurance claims, GapOnly can assess and process your claim while you’re still at the clinic — meaning you may only need to pay the gap between your vet bill and your approved insurance benefit, rather than paying the full invoice upfront and waiting to be reimbursed.

-Less upfront cost
-No waiting around for reimbursement
-More focus on what really matters — your pet

If your pet is insured, simply ask our friendly team whether your policy is eligible for GapOnly at your next visit.

OUR NEW SYSTEM IS LIVE!

Today we’re officially transitioning to our new computer software at Harbourside Vet Care.

As our team gets familiar with the new system, we kindly ask for your patience while we learn the ropes and adjust to our new processes.

🕓 For the remainder of this week, we will be closing for appointments at 4pm each day to allow our team some dedicated time to learn and become confident with the new software.

We will still be available for pre-arranged surgical patient discharges; however, our phone lines will be unavailable between 4pm and 5pm each day.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition and look forward to returning to our usual hours next week. 💚🐾

Thank you for bearing with us!

The Harbourside Vet Care Team

A closer look with Dr Chandana 🐾

Some answers aren’t found on the surface. Here, Dr Chandana is performing an ultrasound — giving us a real-time look at what’s happening inside our patient and helping guide the next steps in their care.

Just another little glimpse behind the scenes at Harbourside Vet Care. 🤍

🌼 Tomorrow is the First day of Spring 🌼

Warmer days, longer walks, blooming gardens and more time spent outdoors with our pets.
But spring also brings a few seasonal things to keep on your radar:

Pollen & allergies — itchy skin, paws and ears can all flare up

Bees & insects — curious noses and paws can sometimes lead to painful stings.

Snakes — as the weather warms up, snakes become more active.

Grass seeds — tiny but troublesome, especially in paws, ears and coats.

Fleas, ticks & mosquitoes — warmer weather means parasite prevention is important.

Garden hazards — fertilisers, snail bait and some spring plants can be toxic to pets.

Warmer days — keep fresh water handy and watch for overheating as temperatures start climbing.

Beach-loving pets — keep dogs on lead and well away from any sick or dead birds you may come across on the beach.

Spring is such a beautiful time of year to get outside and enjoy the sunshine with our pets, just keep an extra eye out for the little seasonal hazards that come along with it.

Here’s to a happy, healthy spring from the team at Harbourside Vet Care! 🌼
