The Summerland Dog Training Urban Tracking Certifications

During any workshop if a team is showing competency and they’re ready, we can attempt a certification.

One thing you need to know about our certifications though, Close enough is never good enough.

I’ve failed plenty of teams over the years for not meeting the standard.

So if you achieve one of these certificates, you’ve earned it.

The whole point of these certifications is to give you a genuine test of where you are as a tracking team.

Every certification is run double blind. The only person who knows where the track goes is the track layer.

If you want to come along, put your training to the test and see what level you and your dog can achieve, check out the upcoming urban tracking workshops on the website.

📍 QUEENSLAND TRACKING WORKSHOPS & SEMINAR

We are excited to announce our first ever Hard Surface Tracking Seminar and Urban Tracking Workshop in Rockhampton!

So, what’s the difference?

The Hard Surface Tracking Seminar is designed to teach you the system from the ground up. We’ll cover the theory behind hard surface tracking, how and why we set tracks up the way we do, and then work through the practical introductory stages with the dogs. The goal is to give you a clear framework you can take away and continue developing your dog with.

The Urban Tracking Workshop is for dogs that already have a tracking foundation and gives handlers the opportunity to work their dogs through real urban environments, developing their skills across roads, car parks, built-up areas and other challenging surfaces.

We’re also heading back to the Sunshine Coast for another two-night Urban Tracking Workshop.

📍 Sunshine Coast – Urban Tracking Workshop
