Who says training can’t be fun? 🐾🎮

Arcades are full of bright lights, loud noises, movement and plenty of distractions, making them a fantastic environment to build confidence and practise calm, focused behaviour.

While the games might look exciting, our dogs are learning that sometimes the best thing to do is absolutely nothing! 🩵

🐾 FOSTER CARERS WANTED! 🐾

Want to make a real difference in someone’s life? ❤️

Our Helpful Hounds are being trained to support people living with disability, helping them gain greater independence, confidence and safety.

By becoming a foster carer, you’re not just giving a dog a loving home, you’re playing an important role in changing someone’s life! 🐕💙

We have flexible fostering options available:
🐾 Weekend fostering
🐾 Part time fostering
🐾 Full time fostering

What we’re looking for:
✅ No more than one existing dog in the household
✅ Ideally no children under 5 years old
✅ A loving home willing to be part of our dogs’ journeys

👑 Queen Annie on her throne! 👑

We love incorporating novel training sessions to build confidence, continue desensitisation to different surfaces and environments, and keep our dogs learning.

And of course, because we love having fun with our dogs! 🐾❤️

Training doesn’t always have to be serious!

Dogs are always communicating, we just need to learn how to listen. 🐾

Watch their ears, eyes, tail, nose and overall body language. Small changes can tell us when a dog is relaxed, unsure, excited, stressed or asking for space.

If you watch those little details closely, you can start to work out where Teddy’s focus is, what he is paying attention to and how he is feeling in that moment. 💛

Happy 1st birthday to the most beautiful ray of sunshine in the world. “Little Bear” is the happiest and sweetest boy.

Sound on to hear one of the most distracting environments in Gympie.

On a “quiet” Friday afternoon we encountered:
🪿Every type of bird
🐕 Every size of dog
🦎 Waterdragons
🛼 Rollerblades and bikes
👧🏻 Kids everywhere/playgrounds
🤔 People running up to pat Bear
📢 You can even hear someone practicing their bagpipes!

So much for a calm session to end the working week. We can confirm that Bear was 100% a good boy with every distraction. 😍

A little product recommendation from our founder - Megan! 🐾

I’m always hesitant to recommend a product until I’ve actually had the chance to properly try it myself.

Teddy has a few health issues, and for quite a while I was giving him multiple different supplements every day. Thanks to the amazing Elsie, who reached out to local Sunny Coast company Kibble 🐾 , we were sent some Kibble Shakes to try.

Teddy has now been having them for around a month and so far I’m really happy. Instead of juggling multiple separate supplements, I now have just the one to add to his meals.

Even better… Teddy absolutely LOVES it. 😂

The ingredients are quality and locally sourced. Swipe across to have a look at what’s inside.

After giving it a proper trial, I’m genuinely impressed and very happy to recommend it. We were also sent the most amazing water bottle with a water dish and treat compartment but that probably needs a post on its own as it is epic!

Teddy definitely gives It’s Kibble Time it his lick/tick of approval. 🐶❤️

Just a cool dude chilling next to a Zumba class where he then had a quick power nap. 😴 Loud music and dancing definitely doesn’t phase this guy.

🐾 Teddy Update 🐾

We’ve had a few requests for an update on our handsome Teddy, so here he is! ❤️

Teddy is still on the road to recovery with his autoimmune condition, but a couple of weeks ago he also needed surgery to remove retained baby canine teeth. In true Teddy style, nothing could be completely straightforward and he ended up with an infection on one side.

Thankfully, he is all healed up now and, most importantly, there has been no relapse of his autoimmune condition. 🙌

He remains our number one little fighter and Megan’s permanent shadow. If you can’t find Megan, just ask Teddy. 😂

He is still off work for now, but we’re hoping to see him back to his ambassador duties soon. ❤️🐾
