Buy the pram...if there's one piece of advice I'd give for having an older dog it's use the pram. It stops their world from shrinking.
After injury Whiskey couldn't even walk around the block without being carried home (and lugging her home is like carrying a bag of spuds, she lives up to her nickname). Her walks were getting shorter and her movement wasn't improving. After a bit of persistence (so she doesn't bark the whole way) she now loves her pram rides - she gets to go to all her favourite parks, sniff, wander around and then see the world in her pram. Her walks and her time outside don't keep getting shorter and it's actually meant her movement has improved as she potters about in the shade of the park rather than only managing to walk a little way on the pavement.
