PLEASE everyone share - let’s help find this little guy a wonderful home that he sure does deserve.
Side note, I have a rescue with a grade 5 heat murmur who is 10 years old and doing great.
Rescue can be so heartbreaking at times.
Sweet little Milo has endured more heartbreak than most of us could handle. He has lived a beautiful life with a mum and dad who loved him but tragically, they both passed away within 6 months of each other, leaving Milo lost and confused.
Family have been caring with Milo but with them already having their own pets and not being allowed to have any more, they asked us whether Milo could become a KPR kid.
Of course, we said yes. We love our little seniors and yesterday, Milo came into our care.
Milo immediately went to the vet and had his health check, vaccinations and heartworm test. Unfortunately, it was discovered that he has quite a serious heart murmur. The good news is that his gums are nice and pink, and he doesn’t appear to be coughing at this stage so we are monitoring him to see whether he needs medication or not. He has also been on eye drops but he seems ok at the moment.
Poor Milo is feeling lost. He is desperately wanting someone to attach himself to. Ordinarily, we would just keep him with his foster carers, but we really want him settled as quickly as possible.
We are looking for a palliative/forever foster carer for Milo. He is used to a calm, adult home with people who are around most of the time.
Milo is an inside boy and last night he curled up in his foster mum’s bed and cuddled up to her. He likes to potter around and keep his mum or dad company, but he definitely does not require oodles of exercise.
Milo will be turning 12 in December. He is great with other dogs, and we think he would be fine with cats.
Milo’s ideal carers would be retired people who are looking to share their home and hearts with a little senior dog. As a foster, we will continue to pay for his medical care and provide whatever he needs.
If you think are interested in finding out more, please fill in the online foster form on our website www.karmasplacerescue.org.au.
You must be willing/able to collect him from Kingaroy QLD
