48 HOURS. ONE BIRD ROOM.
Our annual bird room deep clean is COMPLETE! Our feathery friends have had their short stay accommodation refreshed.
There are many ways to describe running a small business, but this week the phrase “it takes an army” has never felt more appropriate.
Over the last 48 hours, we’ve tackled a full-scale disinfection of the walls, floors and every nook and cranny. We’ve sanded, restored and repainted stands and cage fixtures, along with approximately 400 other jobs that somehow appeared along the way. 😂
Not only did our team roll up their sleeves and jump on the tools, but a wonderful friend (who was once upon a time a customer) happened to pop in at just the right moment… and promptly found herself recruited into the workforce.
That’s the thing about small business. At its heart, it’s about people, community and the relationships built along the way. And no matter how big we may grow, I hope we never lose that.
It’s now 9:45 pm, we’ve finally clocked off, and our bird room is looking FRESH!
Our feathered friends will be back on display from late Friday afternoon. 🦜
Although, knowing them, it’ll take approximately 15 minutes to undo 48 hours of cleaning, but at least we tried.
