One question gets asked is where do six sleep. We had our caravan custom built to incorporate dogs. When designing the kitchen space we have benches on both sides which we reduced the width to allow greater walk space that accommodates a drop down bed space. We redesigned the bed area also. Here are some pics. I am 157cm and can lie down in there space. Often we will have 3-4 cuddled up in there bed.

enjoyed a swim at our next camp at Apex Park along the Dawson River on the outskirts of Moura QLD. A donation camp spot. Even our old man JB who is approaching is last trip had a dip but had to be rescued by his human when his back rudders got tired and being deaf could not hear the calls from the land😂

Where did border patrol end up that was dog friendly tonight? Injune Racecourse. Dry and dusty to be expected NO burs😊 $20 for power and water and the care takers are lovely. Off for some town sight seeing.

Muckadilla was handy for an overnight stop. Free camping behind the pub (though we spent $70 at the pub). Traffic noise quietened down. Lots of dead burrs so a ground mat if travelling with dogs. We had our dogs contained however be prepared to have pub dogs and other large dog not sure who owned him roam your camp. Staff at pub very helpful and as mentioned cold beer.

Border Patrol chilling at Augathella at one of there low cost camps. Pet friendly, plenty of space for a $10 donation per night water and bins at this area. We had a friendly visit from the local senior Sargent Tanya who is a collie fan on arrival. At first we thought we were going to be asked to move with all our pooches but instead they got a welcome pat. We visited the local butcher for some supplies and so did the borders. They say green grassed sites mostly mowed clover with burs and some grass. Having long haired pooches we still managed to find a spot with no issues. We always enjoy this lovely little town.
