Some days in this industry ask more of your heart than you ever expect to give.

Loving a dog means one day, you will have to say goodbye and nothing prepares you for the depth of that loss. They are never “just a pet.” They are your shadow, your comfort, your routine, your joy, your family. And when they leave, they take a piece of you with them. The silence feels louder, the home feels emptier, and the grief… it comes in waves you didn’t know you were capable of feeling.

Since opening my salon just four months ago, I was truly blessed to have spent time grooming sweet Ruby. A gentle soul who left her mark in the quietest, most beautiful way. My heart is with her devoted parents, Deeann & Gary there are no words that can truly ease this kind of pain, only the hope that love like yours never fades, it simply changes form.

I’d like to think Ruby is now running free over the rainbow bridge, reunited with my own beloved Cookie and Sgt Bruno no doubt causing a little mischief and having the most wonderful time together.

Grief is real, because love is real. And the love we share with our dogs is one of the purest things we will ever know. Sending all my love, deepest condolences, and a warm embrace to you during this incredibly difficult time. May Ruby, Rest In Peace 🙏

Spotted: A future star in the making at Bow Wow XOXO… ✨🐾

On Sunday, what started as a sweet little playdate with Amanda's Bichon puppies turned into something a little more magical. Indie, the gorgeous 7-year-old daughter of the incredible couple Ross and Talita Tregaskis and pet parents to Scruffy, stepped into the salon and completely stole the show.

With the biggest smile and the gentlest hands, Indie took on her very first grooming experience and not just any task… she coloured Peanut’s swirls all on her own (and absolutely nailed it! The care, the focus, the creativity… it was something really special to watch.

Moments like these are why I love what I do. Passing on a little spark of this craft, seeing that curiosity and joy light up it means everything.

Indie tells Amanda she might grow up to be a snake wrangler… or maybe even a dog groomer just like her. Honestly, I think the grooming world and maybe Petway Petcare might have a very bright little ambassador in the making… with a slightly cleaner job than wrangling snakes.

So proud of you, Indie, you were pure magic in the salon. 💫

Amanda stepped into the ring and came home with 2nd Place in Open Salon Freestyle and 3rd Place in Open Gundog. While Creative didn’t place this time, every competition is a chance to learn, grow, and come back even stronger making her sponsor Petway Petcare proud.

These competitions are a reflection of the dedication, training, and passion Amanda puts into her craft, and we feel so grateful to be able to share that journey with our clients and wider Kedron community.

Spotted: Polished, Pampered, and Ready for What’s Next ✂️😉

One-year-old Sonny the Spoodle strutted into Bow Wow XOXO today for a fresh cut before his very important appointment… yes darlings, the big snip!

Let’s just say Sonny is heading into surgery looking red-carpet ready because if you’re saying goodbye to the family jewels, you may as well do it in style. Polite, dignified, and groomed to perfection.

How gorgeous does he look for his big day?! We’re wishing this handsome boy all the luck, gentle cuddles, and a speedy recovery. You’ve got this, Sonny.

Spotted 👀✨

Bow Wow XOXO’s very own Amanda was seen living her best main-character moment at the "Solo Groomers Christmas Party" and darling, it was nothing short of fabulous. Hosted by Cath from Fancy Fluffs at the oh-so-chic Clove n Honey in Stones Corner, this brunch was serving festive glam, fluffy friendships, and all the groomer gossip worth wagging about.

And because no event is complete without a little star power… Bichon royalty Dolly, Pixie, and Peanut made a paw-sitively iconic appearance. Perfect coats? Check. Charm turned up to eleven? Double check. These three definitely knew they were the moment!

Brunch dates, good vibes, and fabulous fur friends, just how we like it. Until the next sighting, Upper North Paw-siders…

Spotted: Daisy the Cavoodle making her debut groom and absolutely stealing hearts 💕

Upper North Paw Siders, today’s tea is paws-itively adorable. Little Miss Daisy strutted into the salon for her very first groom and served personality, confidence and cuteness from start to finish. Fresh from Amanda’s magic touch, she left looking like a fluffy cloud with main-character energy and yes, we’re still swooning.

But this debut was more than just a glow-up. Early grooming helps puppies build calm, positive associations with baths, brushes and handling, setting them up for stress-free salon visits for life and healthier coats too.

Handled gently and tailored just for her, Daisy’s first groom was all about comfort, trust and confidence, the perfect start to her grooming journey.

Spotted in Brisbane this November… 👀✂️

Amanda was seen sharpening her skills at a very exclusive Grooming With May hands-on workshop, hosted at DGS Imports and darling, it was nothing short of iconic.

This was no ordinary grooming affair. The one and only May Wong internationally renowned judge and one of Australia’s leading groomers, was in the room, serving nothing but exquisite Asian Fusion, flawless muzzles, and those signature flair legs we all obsess over.

Amanda didn’t arrive alone either. Enter Pixie, her fabulous Bichon Frise muse, who soaked up every moment and left just as star-struck as her mum. Sources say Amanda is completely in awe of May’s artistry and is already manifesting her return in 2026 to keep leveling up those fusion skills.

Will we see even more Asian Fusion magic at Bow Wow XOXO? All signs point to yes!

Dear Upper North Paw Siders,
Word on the grooming table is that Amanda of Bow Wow XOXO recently slipped away to Melbourne for the Big Day Out for Dogs Grooming Competition and darlings, she didn’t just attend… she leveled up.

That’s right. Amanda stepped out of her comfort zone and into the Masters division, competing against the very best in the industry. No pressure… just excellence.

The results? Let’s spill the tea ☕️👇

💎 1st Place Model Dog Traditional, showcasing a textbook-perfect Lamb Trim

💎 2nd Place Gundog Group with a stunning English Cocker Spaniel named Lucy

💎 Runner-Up Best in Group Gundgog

💎 3rd Place Poodle Transformation where a mini poodle named Mr Simon was flawlessly styled into German trim, an incredible achievement considering it was Amanda’s first time ever performing that trim in competition.

Impressive? Absolutely. Surprising? Not to those who know Bow Wow XOXO.
