I’m incredibly honoured to be featured in the October Cat Edition of Groomer to Groomer Magazine, sharing the story of my international cat grooming travels, education and the experiences that have shaped me as both a groomer and educator.
A huge thank you to Lynn Paolillo for taking the time to write about my journey and capture something that has become such an important part of my career.
Travelling internationally for education has given me so much more than new grooming techniques. It has challenged the way I think, pushed me outside my comfort zone, introduced me to completely different approaches to our industry and, most importantly, connected me with some pretty incredible people.
That makes this particular edition even more special.
I get to share the pages with so many talented cat groomers, including fellow Aussie Lexie Goldsmith Ing, as well as Mercedes Schenk and Brooke Gabbert— friends I’ve been lucky enough to meet through this very journey of travelling, learning and connecting with the international grooming community.
There’s something really special about travelling across the world to learn about cats, only to come home with friendships that continue long after the training ends.
I’ll always believe there is something to learn from anyone willing to teach and something valuable in seeing how other groomers work. The more of the world I see, the more I realise how much there still is to learn — and that’s probably my favourite part.
To now have that journey featured in an international grooming magazine, alongside people I respect and friends I’ve made along the way, is a very proud little career moment. 🖤
