🏆 The Pup Cup – Wins, Teamwork & A Little Reminder That Sometimes, Life Comes First 🐾
Our groomers had six classes entered in thepupcup_ last weekend, but life threw us some unexpected curveballs, and the universe reminded us that sometimes, we need to slow down, take a breath and recharge.
Having to withdraw from a competition is disappointing, especially when so much time, preparation and dedication have gone into getting ready. But sometimes, choosing to step back and prioritise your wellbeing is the most important decision you can make. Self-preservation is never a failure. ❤️
Competing in grooming competitions takes an enormous amount of dedication, commitment and hard work. But the rewards go far beyond the competition ring. These events provide incredible opportunities for groomers to grow, learn, refine their skills and receive valuable critique from some of the industry’s most respected leaders. Every experience is an opportunity to learn, improve and become better at what we do.
Despite a few unexpected changes to our plans, our team still had some fantastic results to celebrate! 🏆✂️

🩷 A FEW VERY SPECIAL THANK YOUS 🩷
A huge thank you to Jazz for putting together such an amazing, welcoming and supportive competition for our team and colleagues. Events like these are so important for bringing our industry together and encouraging continued growth, education and development. To judge Wendy Wouters for your valued critiques. The Clipping Point for these amazing photos.
We also want to thank all the incredible owners who generously loaned their beautiful dogs for our team to compete with. Entrusting your precious dogs to us for these events means the world, and we are so grateful for your support.
And a very special thank you to Leesar Rob, who so generously sourced a suitable Salon Freestyle dog for Rebecca from one of her own clients and brought her into the salon every week for maintenance. That level of kindness, generosity and support deserves to be recognised and celebrated. It takes a village, and we are incredibly lucky to have people like you in our corner. 🩷
This is the camaraderie our industry needs more of. Supporting one another, sharing opportunities, celebrating each other’s growth and lifting each other up rather than viewing each other as competition.
There is room for all of us to learn, grow, succeed and celebrate one another’s achievements. We are stronger when we support each other, and our industry is better for it. 🐾❤️
